well, new one looks clean and pretty, I see it getting hype in younger anime viewers! I may sound biased, coz I feel the old one feels more genuine, the expressions, the colors, the thicker outlines, it just looks more stylized, and I like that more

Character, charm, charisma-- the secret ingredients missing from today's animation. And that was only the opening sequence, but look at the stories it told before the main act began. Of course, if all you've seen is sewage runoff, you'll believe there's no such thing as gold.

Ranma ½ is the best anime for me, especially this 1989 version. Not that the remake is bad, I really liked it too. But I still prefer this version. The openings are also wonderful, like this one
