Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner in kfar Aza to women fighters and policewomen: "What you did had a huge impact" Ivanka Trump, the daughter of former US President Donald Trump and her husband Jared Kushner, who served as Trump's senior advisor, arrived this morning (Thursday) for a visit of solidarity with Israel. Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana toured Kibbutz Kfar Gaza with them, the first stop of the two during their 24-hour visit. For about two hours, a kilometer from Shajeya and while the noise of the cannons rumbled in the background, Ivanka and Jared went door to door and talked with the residents of the kibbutz: Maor Moravia, Shahar Shnorman and Chen Kotler who shared with them their stories and the tragic story of their friends from the kibbutz who were murdered and kidnapped by Hamas in -7.10. Shahar stated that he returned to the kibbutz together with his wife Ayelet Cohen and in fact they are the first and only residents living in Kfar Gaza. Chen gave Ivanka a CD on which it says: "Gaza is home" who was very moved by the gesture and Maor told them: "We must defeat Hamas so that our children can come back here to play on the lawns." It must not happen again.' The three also heard testimonies from representatives of the IDF, from the soldiers of the Border Guard and the police who eliminated terrorists on 7.10 and saved the lives of many Israelis, and from ZAKA volunteers who worked in the field. At the end of the tour, Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump thanked the residents and representatives of the security and rescue forces and presented them with a unique medallion. Jared Kushner told the women fighters and policewomen: "Thank you for sharing your stories with us. I am humbled to be here by your side and to hear about your acts of heroism. In Dec 2023, Hamas released a hostage video of Amiram. Shortly after, they murdered Amiram in captivity. Amiram is the oldest of the 16 hostages still held in Gaza. He once wrote this beautiful song about the shining sun. Tragically, he spent the final months of his life trapped in darkness. It is time for Amiram to come home.

Maayan went to help him, and the terrorists fired through the door, killing Maayan in front of her family. The terrorists then forced the rest of them into the living room and went live on Gali’s Facebook as they tormented the family. Later, Hamas terrorists brought two more kibbutz families into the Idans’ home, including Omri Miran, his wife Lishay, and their daughters Romi (then 2) and Alma (10 months). He and his soldiers then fought against Hamas terrorists throughout Gaza. At a later point he and his commandos were sent to Lebanon where they fought and killed Hezbollah terrorists. He was injured in Lebanon. But he worked hard to recover quickly and returned to lead his soldiers in Gaza. In fact, he helped lead the IDF effort to locate hostages. He got married this week. And at the end of the wedding ceremony, right before breaking the glass to remember the destruction of the Temple, he recited the names of his soldiers and a close friend who were killed during the war. Ran stood out from afar thanks to his height. When he entered a room, he radiated authority and confidence. He shone wherever he went, yet always saw others and was sensitive to everyone around him. Ran loved motorcycles. On the morning of the attack, he was on sick leave after a motorcycle accident in which he dislocated his shoulder. When his phone filled with messages calling his team to action, he put on his uniform and told his mother, “Look, my hand is fine.” He chased terrorists, helped dozens of Nova survivors reach safety, was shot in the hand and leg during battle, and instead of seeking shelter, went on to confront dozens of Hamas terrorists. Thanks to Ran’s heroism, all the residents of Kibbutz Alumim were saved, and he earned the nickname “Defender of Alumim.” Near the family home in Meitar lies Ran’s favorite hill, where he used to ride his off-road motorcycle. His parents, Talik and Itzik, have placed a sign there, naming it “Ran’s Hill.”
