But a devastating freeze struck that same decade, wiping out most of the crops and forcing many farmers to head farther south to start over near Orlando, where Florida’s citrus industry still thrives today. Homes like this are rare in Florida now, so I’m grateful that this one still stands. It offers a glimpse into a very different era and what life here once looked like.

The metals being forged are among the most advanced engineering materials available, ultra-high-strength steels, titanium alloys and nickel-based superalloys designed to survive extreme temperatures, pressure and millions of fatigue cycles. An 80,000-tonne press is an industrial ecosystem by itself. The press, hydraulic systems, furnaces, manipulators and supporting infrastructure can require hundreds of millions of dollars in investment, with hydraulic systems requiring tens of megawatts of power to control forces equivalent to thousands of tonnes. 🚨 More Evidence That Archeological Narratives Make ZERO Sense In Peru! This video from Brien Foerester is PERFECT as an example, so here we have a street in the city of Cusco, on one side you have simple non-uniform rock walls with mortar. On the other side you have mortarless, precision cut & fitted megalithic multi-tonne walls. Now mainstream archeologists and historians will attribute both of these works to the Bronze Age Inca cultures, regardless of the fact that it was absolutely impossible for the Bronze Age Inca to precision cut and fit MoH 7/10 hardness stone like Andesite & Diorite which make up the majority of the precision megalithic wall structures. Parr reportedly made several passes and identified the plane as a North Korean Ilyushin Il-12. A long burst from his battery of six .50 caliber machine guns with a combined rate of fire of over 100 rounds per second ripped through the Ilyushin and brought it down in flames. The LACMA has long been a great supporter of initiatives in art and technology. From the original Art and Technology Lab, to more recent exhibitions like Coded: Art Enters the Computer Age, 1952–1982, their sustained interest in the development of creative and artistic practices in relation to the rise of computer technology has helped sustain a once controversial yet undeniably fascinating genre of art before it came into public discourse. I am so pleased with the opportunity to highlight an important part of my practice, known as parameterization. By changing one variable in the program, in this case the percentage of pegs to be wrapped by a string, we are able to see how the original artwork, Ringers #962, evolves over the course of 9 frames arranged in a grid. This process is what I call a “parameter sweep” and it’s an honor to present the combined works as the LACMA Iterations. As the artist who coded the algorithm, I had no explicit control over how the artwork would develop, instead relying on randomization and a deep familiarity of the aesthetic form to help guide the output through code.
