Reaching Net Zero by 2050 would require mining 4.5 million tons of copper, 940 million tons of nickel, 9 billion tons of graphite, and 4 million tons of germanium. At current global mining rates, that scale of extraction would take more than 1,000 years. Mining capacity cannot be multiplied...

Net Zero and Cholesterol are the same kind of scam. Convincing us to eliminate something that is actually good for us.

And they know the math is completely impossible because Net Zero was never about the climate. It is just the cover story for a total control grid. The financial industrial complex does not give a shit about green energy. They want managed decline, hollowing out the West through engineered debt, inflation, and unmitigated mass immigration designed to fracture social cohesion and keep everyone distracted while driving survival and ownership completely out of reach. While everyone gets bogged down arguing over fake climate targets and political theater, the real enclosure playbook is already moving in, turning our food supply into a locked laboratory subscription service and building out the digital ID and programmable currency trap. This is not just about getting locked out of a bank account. It is an open air prison. Once everything is tied to a centralized digital grid, compliance is not a choice. It is an absolute death sentence for anyone who steps out of line. You submit, eat their synthetic garbage, own nothing, and take what you are given, or you get cut off entirely and you are dead. And the second the West is sucked completely dry and left to rot, capital will pivot straight to the Middle East where resources and energy are still locked down by sovereign nations. The impossible targets are not a planning error. They are the blueprint for the cage.

Net Zero by anytime is moronic. No diesel fuel = No Farming so No Food. No more mining either. Railways, shipping, air travel? No more rubber tires for your EVS & E bikes either Packaging? TOILET PAPER?

The more they can decrease the human population the less they will need those natural resources. It's simple math...

Just for the USA, a minimum of 23.9 Mt of copper will be needed to drive only electric vehicles. Factor in the rest of the world, and NetZero power generation (solar and wind, plus the grids) - the world reserve of copper is not enough to build this. Not even close.

But keep shutting down reactors and destroying them.

Current known resources of untapped copper are very low. And existing mines have to dig up more dirt to get equivalent amounts of copper. This isn't near-impossible, it's completely impossible.

Then there is the engineering and technicians to do the installation work. It always was pie in the sky. Only cultists believe it.

Fake news. Renewables are not intended to replace fossil fuels one to one, more like .01 to one, the difference being massive degrowth and deindustrialization.

This strikes me as an argument for nuclear. A 5,600 MW plant uses a fraction of the copper per MWh that wind or solar builds need.

@BHP’s entire nickel division is currently in care and maintenance… because demand (and by association price) are not there.

These sound very trivial- tons over 24 years, mate! The world burns 9.1 billion tons of coal. We Aussies dig up 1.3 billion, not millions. You know that's 9,100 million tons burnt each year, sent up in smoke. Don't concern yourself about a couple of turbines on fire, mate; China builds hundreds of thousands. Perhaps the brake failed? Whatever, there is a remedy. Don't know why central banks think gold needs to be bought at the Tulip Bulb price. When 3k tons a year are mined every year, not oz. Only 8% is needed for industrial use. I buy Bitcoin. Only one time to buy, anytime, at any price. If you like big numbers, here is one: 100,000,000 sats (Satoris) to each very rare diamond. When only 21 million exist.

Not only that. The upfront Carbon spent for it would account to the equivalent of Carbon held in trillions of trees, while cities are flushing NPK + micronutrients needed to feed billions. Delusional...

Watch the movie "Planet of the Humans" by Michael Moore. He actually does a good job of showing that it is physically impossible. The hinted at but unspoken conclusion is that the only answer is to "cull the herd", as it were. 😒

Energy and water vapor are by far the leading drivers of warming…carbon is very small potatoes in comparison. Don’t climate scientists know how to use Pareto Charts?

Is this calculation based on solely the number of PV panels and WT blades to achieve and equal the current level of MW output of traditional power stations, because if you factor in replacing each item above at end of life every 20 years, then it'll likely be 10 X this time!!!

When you imagine you are smarter than a climate scientist, so you make up resource extraction figures. Germanium is not a player in commercial large scale solar power photovoltaic systems. Graphite can be synthesized, not only mined.
