God doesn’t call the qualified. He qualifies the called.

Send me, Lord—for we are the warriors You will unleash upon the earth. Not to bow to its wickedness, but to make it holy again. By Your will, we rise.

Shia Labeouf needs to be in more movies! Guy knows how to act and has got a very expressive face

That scene is more powerful than most know. Shia took the role as a normal Jew. Yet reading these Bible verses led to discussions about Christ with the other actors who already were Christ believers. He credits Brad Pitt in particular. Shia became an estimated 1% Messianic Jew. He knew the consequences of that, and he said Isaiah 6 "8 And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” Those are his real tears struggling through that scene. You witnessed something beyond words.

i think this is the movie when Shia L , start his long walk home look at him now .. i wish i was where he is , in life .

Hits harder without the Interstellar music added

I volunteered for my second deployment 8 months after spending 15 months boots on ground. It only took me that long because I couldn't find a unit deploying any earlier. At the time only we who had deployed in OIF 1 were combat vets and there weren't that many of us at the beginning. When I volunteered 19 other dudes none of which who had deployed before decided to volunteer with me. We spent the next 12 month in Iraq. My crew group was separated and augmented to a different until in Iraq. We went to Al Asad Air base which others went to Baghdad. My group had 57 people. 1 Platoon Leader (LT later CPT) 1 Platoon Sergeant (SFC) 5 mechanics (1 was a SFC) Then 50 dudes 2 per truck x 25 trucks. When we left I believe 55 of us had combat action badges. We got hit with IEDs weekly almost. The Platoon Sergeant never left base until the very end of the deployment. His job was there not on the roads. During that one mission he went out he got hit with an IED. On the way back from that mission he got hit with an IED. We had one dude who got hit with 6 and walked away. Thay was with 4 different drivers. He just had bad luck. The first driver got hit with 3. The second with 1 really quickly so they switched again and the next dude got hit with two on the same day about an hour apart. When that happened we called in a Blackhawk and had him air lifted to base and we never let him go out again. We believed his luck had run out. Hell I still believe that his luck ran out. I volunteered, as I told my mom at the time, because I had already spent 15 months there, I knew the terrain and tactics of our enemies. I just figured if I don't go who should they send in my stead? Why should some other mother lose her child because her son would be green and didn't know what they are doing. I knew what I was doing and I was good at it. There are still warriors in our culture who stand willingly when called upon.

So true

Send me through the valley of the shadow of death. For I shall fear no evil.

Any bible quote with Interstellar music is automatically epic!

There is an additional scene closer to the end of the movie where additional scripture is quoted. Just as powerful, imo.

I get this, though. Every time I read the Bible it is a revelation.

Best job I ever had...

Women need to ask their husbands and fathers to help them with the scripture if they are confused.

the brother wars to protect the jews was a mistake.

This would be better without the Interstellar music drowning out the dialog.

Taking up responsibility vs feelings... we are not the same

‘Fury’ is one of my all time favorite films. The brotherhood, camaraderie, speaks to me on a huge level. Gets me every time in the feels.

@grok what movie is this?

Everyone in that movie absolutely crushed their role. Definitely in my top 5 of WW2 movies.

What movie is this

Philippians 4:12-13

@thecampaignbook You rock Shia

Talked to a woman in a bible study group for an hour a week. Her thoughts on Christianity: "we don't know much about Jesus's real life and teachings; the real message is that we should all love each other; all religions contain kernels of truth."

Here we are, in the west, with this stupid experiment to try and see if we could discard the thing that gives us the most meaning, the most important thing in the universe, and still have a life worth living

Um no. My mother and the Catholic Church never taught me “Jesus loves you! We’re saved.” 🤣🤣 Not my mother. She was a very strict Catholic. She was so strict (In a great way) she died on Christmas Day in the Divine Mercy Hour (3:00). Which she had a devotion to.

Every time I watch this scene I cry similar…those are more than words.

I heard this verse in the conversation @charliekirk11 had with a student who was wearing the shirt “Hineni” at one of the @TPUSA events. Always stuck w me and is a call to duty now. The algo sent me this verse twice in past week (or more likely,God did). Thank you.

Is there a name for this feeling? The desire to be called to fulfill ones one’s purpose through sacrifice and duty

This movie was so good and I really enjoyed how the character/camaraderie development they did. This scene was the apex of that.
