I didn’t know Apostle Arome Osayi was this bold about doctrinal errors! In all my life, I have never seen anyone bolder! Did the likes of Spiricoco Twittter see this? Did you say anything about it? Did you call him a heretic? Did Gideon Odoma see this? Did it line up with your theology? The entire CT saw this and said nothing but Hypergrace preachers have to be the heretics? I never knew the conspiracy of silence was this loud! I am so shocked, I didn’t know it was this bad!! How come no one in the body of Christ has really taken this up! And this is what majority of Nccf, Uccf feed on? This is the curriculum they take for the next generation! No wonder Grace is resisted with all power!! Jesus’ finished works are made nothing before His people!! It will take you praying 5 hours for 7 years before you will get power? Why?!!!!! Wow!! 1. Jesus gave His disciples power before they even fasted or prayed for it. “And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” Matthew 10:1 KJV 2. He said these signs shall follow us when we believe. “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:17-18 KJV 3. Jesus said when they received the HolyGhost, they received power! “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judæa, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8 KJV 4. Apostle Peter said it is not personal holiness or power that works miracles. “And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?” Acts 3:12 KJV 5. Apostle Paul said we work miracles and minister the Spirit by the hearing of faith not by our good works. “He therefore that ministereth to you the Spirit, and worketh miracles among you, doeth he it by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?” Galatians 3:5 KJV No wonder it is so difficult for many to receive the truth of eternal salvation, things have gotten deeply bad, so bad!! Doug Wilson, along with Bruce Ware, both hold the mistaken view that Christians should restrict prayer to the Father alone and never pray directly to Jesus. But this position runs into a serious problem, because Jesus Himself said otherwise. In John 14:13–14, Jesus told His disciples: 13 “Whatever you ask in My name, that will I do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 “If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it. Notice that Jesus did not say, "Ask only the Father and I will only relay it." He said ask ME, and I WILL do it. Jesus both receives and answers prayer. That is not the role of a mere created being or a subordinate intermediary. That is the role of God. And did the early Christians pray to Jesus? Absolutely! Stephen, while being martyred, called out, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit” (Acts ), directly addressing Christ in his final moments. The apostle Paul prayed to Jesus pleading with Him about his “thorn in the flesh” (2 Corinthians 12:8–9) Paul pleaded with Jesus three times regarding his thorn in the flesh, and Jesus answered him personally (2 Corinthians 12:8–9) John and the early church lifted up the petition, “Come, Lord Jesus” (Revelation ), a prayer addressed directly to Christ. Those who say that you are not allowed to pray to Jesus are in the same camp as the Jehovah's Witnesses who also forbid prayers to Jesus. Doug Wilson and Bruce Ware are wrong. Jesus is fully God and as God He receives and answer prayers. Years ago I sat through a lecture by Bruce Ware in which he argued that the worship given to Jesus is in some way limited or restricted. It was deeply troubling to hear. I was sitting with an entire row of former Jehovah's Witnesses, and every one of them was equally disturbed. They recognized the argument. They had heard it before, just dressed in different theological clothing. The idea that Jesus, in His eternal state, is somehow deserving of a lesser degree of worship, or that we cannot address Him directly in prayer, is not a humble, cautious position. It is a deviation from both the testimony of the early Christians and the plain teaching of Scripture. The first believers called upon the name of Jesus, prayed to Him, worshipped Him without restraint, and were willing to die rather than deny His full deity. They did not worship a subordinate Christ. When a theological position on the person of Christ makes former Jehovah's Witnesses uncomfortable because it sounds too familiar, that is worth pausing over. It should cause us to ask hard questions about where that road leads and whose company we are keeping doctrinally. Jesus Christ is not a lesser object of worship. He is not off-limits in prayer. He is fully God, co-equal and co-eternal with the Father, and He is worthy of every prayer, every act of worship, and every confession of faith we can offer.

I see a lot of people, especially Christians and Christian influencers, claiming that calling out to God or Jesus will stop an alien abduction in its tracks. They speak of this idea like it's gospel and question the abductee's faith if it doesn't work. Unfortunately, calling on the name of God or Jesus doesn't always stop an alien abduction. That's the truth, and the truth has little to do with an abductee's faith, and everything to do with the physicality of the aliens and their superior technology. Alien abduction is very similar to human trafficking, so imagine telling someone calling on the name of God or Jesus stops human trafficking or sexual assault in its tracks. It's simply not true. Could it work? Yes. Does it always work? No. Continuing to claim it's always true 100% of the time is damaging to abductees and it's damaging to any faith they might have left.

I had never seen this video until tonight but it’s something I have been thinking about for the better part of a year. In the Old Testament, God’s name is not merely a label. His name represents His identity, His authority, His reputation, and His character. That is why the Third Commandment is so serious: “Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” Exodus 20:7 What is Gods name? His character. Moses asks: “Show me thy glory.” Exodus 33:18 God answers: “I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee.” Exodus 33:19 Then God proclaims His name: “The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth…” Exodus 34:6 His name tells us who He is. That is why to profane His name is to misrepresent Him. Leviticus 19:12: “Ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God.” Jeremiah 14:14 condemns prophets who speak “lies in my name” even though God says: “I sent them not, neither have I commanded them.” Ezekiel 36:20 says Israel “profaned my holy name” because the nations looked at them and said: “These are the people of the LORD.” Israel bore God’s name before the nations. Their conduct taught the world something about the God they claimed to represent. When they acted contrary to His character, they made Him appear to be something He was not. That is why God says: “I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen.” Ezekiel 36:23 Now carry that into the New Testament. The Lord’s Prayer begins: “Hallowed be thy name.” Matthew 6:9 The very first thing Jesus teaches His disciples is that the Father’s name be treated as holy. If God’s name represents His character, then “hallowed be thy name” means more than speaking respectfully. It means that who God truly is must be honored, preserved, and represented faithfully. Then Jesus Himself becomes the clearest revelation of that character. “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father.” John 14:9 Hebrews says Christ is: “The brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person.” Hebrews 1:3 Colossians calls Him: “The image of the invisible God.” Colossians 1:15 In the Old Testament, God reveals His character through His name. In the New Testament, God reveals His character through Christ. That means Christ becomes the standard by which every claim about God must be tested. If you say: “God is like this.” “God wants this.” “God commands this.” then the question becomes: Does that claim actually comport with the God revealed in Christ? Jesus also warns that invoking His name does not automatically mean someone represents Him. “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord…” Matthew 7:22 They say: “Have we not prophesied in thy name?” “And in thy name have cast out devils?” “And in thy name done many wonderful works?” Yet Jesus answers: “I never knew you.” Matthew 7:23 You can use God’s name and still misrepresent God. You can claim Christ’s name and still not reflect Christ. You can invoke divine authority and still be speaking from yourself. Paul carries the Old Testament principle directly into the New Testament: “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you.” Romans 2:24 That is almost exactly the same pattern as Ezekiel. God’s people claim Him. They act contrary to Him. The outside world watches. The world forms conclusions about God from the people who bear His name. And God’s name is blasphemed because His character has been falsely represented. This is why the name of Christ becomes so important for believers. Acts 11:26 says: “The disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” Christians bear the name of Christ. From the Third Commandment to the final chapter of Revelation, the responsibility is consistent: If you bear His name, do not misrepresent His character.

Leviticus 19:12: “Ye shall not swear by my name falsely, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God.” Jeremiah 14:14 condemns prophets who speak “lies in my name” even though God says: “I sent them not, neither have I commanded them.” Ezekiel 36:20 says Israel “profaned my holy name” because the nations looked at them and said: “These are the people of the LORD.” Israel bore God’s name before the nations. Their conduct taught the world something about the God they claimed to represent. When they acted contrary to His character, they made Him appear to be something He was not. That is why God says: “I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen.” Ezekiel 36:23 Now carry that into the New Testament. The Lord’s Prayer begins: “Hallowed be thy name.” Matthew 6:9 The very first thing Jesus teaches His disciples is that the Father’s name be treated as holy. If God’s name represents His character, then “hallowed be thy name” means more than speaking respectfully. It means that who God truly is must be honored, preserved, and represented faithfully. Then Jesus Himself becomes the clearest revelation of that character. “He that hath seen me hath seen the Father.” John 14:9 Hebrews says Christ is: “The brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person.” Hebrews 1:3 Colossians calls Him: “The image of the invisible God.” Colossians 1:15 In the Old Testament, God reveals His character through His name. In the New Testament, God reveals His character through Christ. That means Christ becomes the standard by which every claim about God must be tested. If you say: “God is like this.” “God wants this.” “God commands this.” then the question becomes: Does that claim actually comport with the God revealed in Christ? Jesus also warns that invoking His name does not automatically mean someone represents Him. “Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord…” Matthew 7:22 They say: “Have we not prophesied in thy name?” “And in thy name have cast out devils?” “And in thy name done many wonderful works?” Yet Jesus answers: “I never knew you.” Matthew 7:23 You can use God’s name and still misrepresent God. You can claim Christ’s name and still not reflect Christ. You can invoke divine authority and still be speaking from yourself. Paul carries the Old Testament principle directly into the New Testament: “The name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles through you.” Romans 2:24 That is almost exactly the same pattern as Ezekiel. God’s people claim Him. They act contrary to Him. The outside world watches. The world forms conclusions about God from the people who bear His name. And God’s name is blasphemed because His character has been falsely represented. This is why the name of Christ becomes so important for believers. Acts 11:26 says: “The disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.” Christians bear the name of Christ. From the Third Commandment to the final chapter of Revelation, the responsibility is consistent: If you bear His name, do not misrepresent His character.

I believe that music had the power to change my life and God had the power to change my life." And then he said this: "Jesus is for everybody. Jesus is not owned by one political party. Jesus is not owned by no music label. Jesus is Jesus, and anybody can have a relationship with him." That last part matters. In a room full of the most politically and culturally divided people in entertainment, he stood up and said plainly that Jesus does not belong to any camp. He belongs to everybody. That is the gospel. That is the truth. And it needed to be said exactly where he said it. Now here is the honest part. We take Jelly Roll at his word. We cheer him on. We do not pile onto a man who is clearly still finding his footing. But we also do not anoint him as the face of a movement before the fruit has had time to grow. Jesus described four kinds of soil in Matthew 13. We do not always know which kind we are looking at right away. What we do know is that we are called to pray for him, not perform a verdict. "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them" (Matthew 7:20). Take him at his word. Give him room to grow. Pray for him hard and consistently. And let God do the rest.
