Jaylen Brown did in fact insinuate Luke Kornet was a potential HOF-er as part of a really great answer about the Celtics’ identity this season: “I want to speak how rare it is to have like 5, 6 new players come in and add to winning right away. It says a lot about our leadership. It says a lot about our coaching staff, because that does not happened in the NBA, and I think that should get talked about more. We lost Luke, Al, Jrue, JT and Porzingis — all potential Hall of Famers, right? And we replaced them with Hugo, Jordan Walsh, Josh Minott, Baylor Scheierman, Anfernee — most of those guys have not played in the league consistently, and for us to be where we're at is just a testament to our leadership, our organization. But when something addresses the concerns of the American people, we need to find common ground and get things done. This isn’t just about the election in 2026 or the election in 2028. I think he showed everybody why he’s the player we thought he would be. Obviously, that’s a short, short span. It’s a quick, quick couple weeks, and it’s a different level of competition. But I think it’s the beginning of scratching the surface of some things he can do, and we’re hopeful. Inspired talking about Skewmond and" the best jungler in the west" debate Q: Everyone was talking a lot of Skewmond, and I would like to know about: do you believe like the series put an end to any debate about the best jungler in the West? Inspired: To me, there was never a debate. I knew that I’m always the best, but I think Skewmond is a good player. I wouldn’t say that he had any phenomenal series, though, this tournament. I think he, against T1, he still made a lot of mistakes. When he was stronger, he didn’t really try to fight enemies, and or sometimes just over committed a bit, and I think G2 won against T1 just by waiting for T1 to make mistakes. I think today, I think Skewmond played well in the team fights. I think every time he was on my screen and we’re like skirmishing and team fighting, I think he did a good job. But I think just like team wise, and like how they all played together as a team and use their jungler was wrong. And it’s hard to say, as I always said, that don’t really know who’s there like which jungler is good because you don’t really know what was his idea beyond the game plan, what his teammates wanted to do. But it just seems like they were not connected well enough, and on top of that, as I said, I think the drafts were not that great. So yeah, I think he’s a good player, but I think they need to work more on team synergy in order to actually pressure when they’re strong if they want to be like the best in the world, because I think they definitely can, but need to work a bit more. Am I right? And how do you balance that? Lewis: I feel like we're going in the right direction. Rome wasn't built in one day, so it takes time to build. For me, coming into the team, I wanted to be respectful of the way they've done things in the past and just to really observe and see where our strengths and where our weaknesses are and to highlight where our weaknesses are and areas that we need to work on. But I do feel that they've been responding. I think you're starting to see, hopefully, some of the impact of the work that we're doing in the background and also into next year's car. This is a car that I've had nothing to do with in terms of developing this car over the years. Hopefully, from next year, my input goes into that car, and that will be a car that I've hopefully been a part of or will have been a part of developing. But I think we've got a really great rapport. I think we're really progressing, particularly since the summer break. I think things have started to get better, and it's all just about building trust and communication. Also, I'm coming into a team that English is not the first language, and I don't speak Italian, so it's finding a common ground. And the fact is we all want to win. We're all here to achieve the same thing, and we've got to just keep pushing. So that's why I'm trying to keep everyone motivated on difficult weekends, trying to keep everyone lifted up.
