For those that tell me I should leave California because I don't like it here the answer is no. I love it here but I don't like how the state is being managed. As a land owner, a hillbilly, a voter and a tax payer I will use my small voice to call out what needs to be called out. Everyone should be doing that 100%.

Hyped to share this – I recently built an AI chat plugin for Obsidian using Cursor Composer. I've been using it for the last couple weeks and its totally changed how I use Obsidian. I use it to reflect, generate ideas, plan my day, and more. It's also great at being a search-and-synthesis machine for my 2,000+ notes – like having a Perplexity for my brain. NEW favorite artifact. I read this every morning to catch up on AI news from high-signal X accounts. It's an HTML artifact that curates X posts using the X MCP tools. Composed by my research agents. I have a daily automation that goes through curated X accounts and captures AI papers, projects, and more. I feel like this is closer to the "For You" feed that we all want. Happy to share the artifact and automation instructions if anyone thinks it would be useful for them.

Thumbnail testers are either full of features nobody uses, or paywalled for something that should be simple. I'm a big believer that simple solutions should be free. So I built one. And I'm giving it away. It's the same tool I run every client thumbnail through before delivery.

I asked our sound designer Gurwal to make this moment feel like as if a sound recorder on the set would actually be swept away by the flood. As if they wouldn’t be able hold on to the microphone and get the right levels making the sound just barely usable. I wanted it to feel rough, raw and dirty. Initially I thought that this would be loud, but Gurwal suggested instead that the sound should almost dissapear, which I think made the scene way more impactful. I learned a lot by working with Gurwal. Like in this case that less can be more.

I found a Claude skill that plans my entire AI ad before I even open Gemini Omni. I just send it: → the product → the ad style (LEGO, crochet, cartoon, Pixar, etc.) that’s it. a few seconds later it gives me: → a complete script → a scene-by-scene breakdown → Gemini Omni prompts ready to generate I don’t waste time figuring out what each scene should look like or rewriting prompts until they work. I just generate the ad. It’s the exact workflow I’ve been using to make AI ads for affiliate offers, and it’s cut my creation time by more than half. RT + comment “SKILL” and I’ll DM you the exact workflow I use to make these ads (Claude skill included). (must be following for DM)

subagents are just recursive agents where you can apply different prompts + models depending on the task. since they’re just a primitive, Cursor cli can actually spawn subagents by calling cursor-agent in headless mode via shell commands. that’s what makes the cli so nice. you can extend it, experiment, and have a lot of fun exploring orchestration patterns. here’s one way to do it w. dynamic model selection: 1. create a subagents.mdc rule 2. drop in: ``` --- alwaysApply: true --- ALWAYS spawn subagents by running `cursor-agent -p [task] --output-format=text --force --model [model]` in the terminal. Each subagent should return a summary of the changes it made. Subagents should be used for ALL tasks You can adopt a fan-out pattern where you spawn subagents to perform parallel isolated tasks, and then fan-in the results. Use the following models: - `--model gpt-5` for reasoning, researching, and planning - `--model sonnet-4` for implementation ``` 3. start cursor cli and try it out you can also adjust the rule to be more explicit when it should use subagents, when not to, which models when etc.

There absolutely needs to be a necessary and continuum course taught in sportsmanship for anyone playing sports activities in school. It should be a requirement. This is not how you have fun, grow and learn. Loosing well needs to be taught.

Ukrainian Military Officials and Equipment using the “Balkenkreuz” or Iron Cross from the Imperial/Nazi Germany-Era is an extremely bad look and needs to be talked about more; I’m not sure why this is continued to be Allowed by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, there should be Harsh Punishments for anyone who is seen to be using these Symbols.

Tomorrow is a big day for me. I’m going to do an activity in my daughter’s class (she’s 5), and I’ll be teaching them what AI is. She’s excited about it, but honestly, I think I’m even more excited. I’ll tell them a little bit of history, we’ll play some games… I’ll try to make it as fun as possible, but always with a focus on ethical and responsible use. Of course, it won’t be a tutorial on how to use any tools, lol. They’re still very young, and in my opinion, it’ll be years before they actually need to start using these tools. But I think it’s important for them to start getting some awareness so they can be prepared for the future that’s coming their way.
