Don't miss this episode of Manifold! Among the topics I discuss with Kyle: Professor Lu Feng on Chinese Industrial Maximalism Lu Feng argues that the larger and more diverse a country’s “industrial system” (工业体系)—which includes not just different sectors but also supporting factors such as education and financing—the faster its technological advancement. “Complementary relationships” (互补关系) within the industrial system allow technological advancements in one sector to drive progress in others. For example, China’s advances in lithium batteries and lidar sensors empower its EV, drone, and robotics industries through what I call “overlapping tech-industrial ecosystems.” In a similar manner, Lu Feng believes China’s vast industrial base will give it an edge in AI through a positive feedback loop between real-world industrial applications and foundational AI models. ... Lu Feng argues that China’s industrial development is more important than ever in the face of intensifying US-China competition. Rather than caving into notions of “overcapacity” coming from “foreign influences” (外人之风) and “tying our own hands” (自缚手脚) by limiting industrial capacity, Lu says China should forge ahead in both traditional and high-tech industries. This is especially critical now as he believes the “US is gearing up for a showdown with China” (美国拉开架势要与中国对决). Lu Feng sees the US-China rivalry ultimately as a contest between two systems: China’s “industrial socialism” (工业社会主义) and America’s “financial capitalism” (金融资本主义). The US was once an industrial powerhouse like China today with half of global production and an “arsenal of democracy” that changed the course of World War II. But, in a critique with strong political resonance within the US, Lu Feng says the US economy became increasingly “financialized” (金融化), dominated by the short-term interests of Wall Street investors, causing America’s industrial base to atrophy. In contrast, China’s socialist system ensured that financial resources would be directed toward supporting the “real economy” (实体经济) and steer China away from the standard path of deindustrialization.

🚨THE RED-GREEN INVASION: MARXISTS AND ISLAMIC SUPREMACISTS TARGET TEXAS This weekend, the radical Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), a hardcore Marxist revolutionary outfit straight out of the Stalinist playbook, hijacked Texas streets with their “TEXAS FIGHTS BACK!” circus. They’re not “pro-immigrant.” They’re not “peaceful protesters.” They’re communist agitators hell-bent on ripping apart our sovereignty, our laws, and Texas apart from the inside out. PSL descended on Texas like locusts, branches in Austin, Houston, San Antonio, Dallas-Fort Worth, Waco, and more, coordinating a statewide assault on Greg Abbott’s common-sense border defense. Their target? SB4, the law that finally lets Texas cops act like immigration officers and arrest illegal border-crossers instead of rolling out the red carpet. These are the same people who proudly call themselves a “working-class party of leaders and activists… founded to promote the movement for revolutionary change.” They’re founding members of the ANSWER Coalition, the notorious anti-American front group that’s spent decades cheering every enemy of the United States from North Korea to Hamas. Their own history? A 2004 split from the Stalinist Workers World Party. This is the Red-Green Alliance in full attack mode: Red for the Marxist revolutionaries who want to burn down capitalism and flood America with millions of dependents, and Green for the dangerous Islamic networks they march arm-in-arm with under “Free Palestine” banners while screaming “ICE off our streets!” They admit it themselves: Immigrants are nearly 20% of Texas. But instead of demanding legal, orderly immigration that strengthens our state, they demand open borders, no enforcement, and total submission. They bully sanctuary cities into defiance while Abbott and Paxton fight to protect real Texans, citizens who built this state, not the ones gaming the system. Texas isn’t their revolutionary experiment. The people of Texas do NOT stand with illegal invaders. They stand with the rule of law and secure borders. Deport. Enforce. Defend.

Back in the summer of 2023, I drove with my family in a RV to the battle site of Khalkhin-Gol (also known as "Nomonhan") on the border between China and Mongolia proper. I took this video back then 👇 We spent the night right there, on the battle site. Yes, this is our idea of a nice family vacation 😅 It is probably the most important WW2 historical site most people have never heard of: it's where the Soviet Union defeated Japan in 1939, which changed the course of the war. Japan and Nazi Germany may have won WW2 were it not for the battles that happened right here during 135 days. Incredibly, this episode of the war is virtually untaught in the West, which shows how self-centered our version of history is. During WW2 Northeast of China had been invaded and annexed by Japan, transformed into a puppet state called Manchukuo. This place is in the extreme West of this former puppet state (which is now back to being Northeast China), on the border with Mongolia and the former Soviet Union (now the Russian border). At the time, 1939, Japan's basic strategy for the war was "Northward Advance" (Hokushin-ron), i.e. seizing Siberia for its resources as far as Lake Baikal. The USSR obviously begged to differ and Stalin sent General Zhukov, one of his best men (the future Marshal of the Soviet Union) on site to fight the Japanese back. Long story short, the battles that ensued - with 200,000 soldiers on the battlefield - lasted 135 days and were the earliest large-scale 3-dimensional warfare in military history. It ended in a humiliating Japanese defeat which some Japanese historians call "the greatest defeat in the history of the Japanese army", with 54,000 casualties (79% of frontline troops, as mentioned below). The most important consequence of the battles that were fought here is that the Japanese completely shifted their strategy from "Northward Advance" to "Southward Advance", favoring seizing the resources of Southeast Asia instead of those of Siberia. Masanobu Tsuji, the Japanese colonel most instrumental in these battles became "the most determined single protagonist in favor of war with the United States" and one of the strongest proponents of the attack on Pearl Harbor inside the Japanese army (according to postwar testimonies), having been traumatized by his experience of fighting the Soviet Union. The US was of course the biggest power the Japanese would have to confront by pursuing the "Southward Advance" strategy since only the US Pacific Fleet stood in the way of seizing the oil-rich Dutch East Indie. In fact the Khalkhin-Gol battles traumatized the Japanese so much that they didn't dare fight the Soviet Union again for the remainder of WW2. Even when their ally Nazi Germany opened the Eastern front the Japanese army adopted a resolution "not to intervene in German Soviet war for the time being", leaving Hitler to fight the Soviet Union on his own, which would ultimately prove to be his demise. So it's no exaggeration to say that had the battles here not been fought or had the Japanese won, WW2 would have most likely turned out dramatically different. Pearl Harbor wouldn't have happened, and Japan would have likely helped Nazi Germany fight the Soviet Union by opening a front to the East. Khalkhin-Gol may in fact have been the most consequential battles of WW2!

🚨 ALERT! ALERT! BREAKING! ALERT! ALERT! 🚨 This is going to confuse the hell out of FAGA. Their star witness, Mitch Snow, claims it was Joe Kent, while holding the position of Director of the National CounterTerrorism Center (NCTC), who vetted him for Candace Owens. Then Mitch says: “Seems like a lot of White Hats that are in the know trust him (Joe Kent).” And that is where it gets hilarious. Because FAGA has spent all this time screaming that White Hats and Q are a psyop. So what is Mitch implying here? That Candace Owens, Joe Kent, Tucker Carlson, and the rest of that circle are the White Hats now? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 That is the play. They are trying to bait the more gullible side of the Q movement into believing these anti-Trump personalities are somehow the “good guys,” so the truth community will start backing and amplifying rhetoric designed to undermine President Trump from the inside. That alone tells you something important: they are losing ground with the real Q community. So now they need a new angle. A baited “unity” play. A rebrand. A soft infiltration move. And just like always, the useful idiots and the grifters will be the first to fall for it. So now, the comedy part, the same clowns who have spent all this time screaming that White Hats and Q are a psyop, have a dilemma they created for themselves: 1. Admit Mitch Snow is a lying grifter, which destroys the credibility they tried so hard to build around him to attack Erika Kirk and TPUSA. or 2. Support Mitch Snow as authentic, which means acknowledging that White Hats and Q exist. Either way, they lose. Enjoy the show. Video below.

QUESTIONS FOR YOU : Looking backwards into the 4 years of war reminds us how the Ukraine 🇺🇦/ 🇷🇺war has evolved. From the counter-guerilla to the trench warfare of the Donbas war, before the full scale invasion with movement warfare, massive offensives and big mechanized push in 2022. Then we had the artillery and trench war for Bakhmut, Avdiivka, without forgetting the numerous attempts to reinstate movement warfare in the south in 2023, in Vuhledar, in Avdiivka, in Kursk in 2024... We had from 2022 to 2024 a war of fixed positions, massive artillery barrages and multiple armoured offensive, before seeing yet again a big change with the drone war, with small and hidden positions, massive obtsacles and fewer movement. We saw battles in the air, underground, in cities, small towns, villages, mines, industrial complexes, open fields, forests, on rivers, on treelines, inside trenches and dugouts... We saw soldiers dying from ambushes, NLAWS/Javelin, then artillery strikes and now drone strikes. We saw the use of nearly all the modern military systems, we saw how it evolved everyday to face the frontline challenges. People still believe this war is not high intensity, I disagree. We literally saw all kinds of fightings, all kind of inovations and how everything works on a 1000 + frontline, with more than 400 000 soldiers on the frontline for each side. We are getting closer from the february 24th 2026, 4 years after. I still often watch older videos to remember how everything changed. So I have few questions, I would like you to reply in comments : 🔸Which battle impressed you the most? 🔸In your opinion, what was the most important and decisive battle of the war? 🔸Is there a battle you would like to know more about? 🔸Is there a video from the war that you kept (or not) that made a lasting impression on you? 🔸And a photo?

JFK AND THE CUBAN MISSILE CRISIS: THE MOMENT THE WORLD HELD ITS BREATH In 1962, the world stood at the edge of destruction. The Cold War rivalry between the United States and the Soviet Union had reached a boiling point, and nuclear weapons made every decision a matter of survival for humanity. The crisis began when U.S. surveillance aircraft discovered Soviet nuclear missile bases being secretly constructed in Cuba. Fidel Castro had aligned Cuba with the Soviet Union after breaking away from American influence, and Khrushchev saw an opportunity to challenge U.S. power directly in its own backyard. These missiles could reach major American cities within minutes. For Washington, this was unacceptable. President John F. Kennedy was thrust into the most dangerous moment of his presidency. If he ignored the threat, America would lose credibility and security. If he attacked Cuba, it could trigger a nuclear war with the Soviet Union. The stakes were higher than anything the world had ever seen. Kennedy called an emergency council of top military and political advisors. The generals pushed for airstrikes and invasion. Many wanted immediate action. But Kennedy hesitated. He understood that one reckless move could kill millions. Instead of rushing into war, he chose strategy over emotion. He ordered a naval blockade around Cuba, stopping Soviet ships from delivering more weapons. Then he addressed the world, revealing the missile discovery and warning the Soviets to turn back. This announcement sent shockwaves across the globe. Families prayed. Governments prepared for war. No one knew if the next day would exist. As American warships faced Soviet vessels at sea, the world waited in silence. One wrong order could ignite nuclear missiles across continents. Tension escalated when a U.S. spy plane was shot down over Cuba. Pressure mounted on Kennedy to strike back. Still, he refused to be provoked. Behind closed doors, secret negotiations were taking place. Kennedy and Khrushchev exchanged letters. Finally, a deal was reached. The Soviets would remove their missiles from Cuba. In return, America promised not to invade Cuba and quietly removed its missiles from Turkey. On October 28, 1962, the world was saved. Nuclear war was avoided. Humanity survived its closest call to extinction. This crisis changed global politics forever. The superpowers realized how fragile the world truly was. A direct communication hotline was created between Washington and Moscow. Arms control talks began. Power was no longer just about weapons, but about restraint. Kennedy proved that true strength is not aggression, but control. He resisted pressure, trusted his judgment, and chose diplomacy over destruction. His calm leadership saved millions of lives. America emerged as a strategic leader. The world learned a permanent lesson, nuclear war has no winners. Only survivors and victims Wisdom beats pride. Calm leadership prevents disaster. One wise decision can protect the entire world. Video by HISTORY
