Poor, poor refereeing with that red card in #IREvENG. Wrecked a fascinating game. Totally understand the safety element but was that clearly DELIBERATELY dangerous play by Steward on Keenan in that split second ? No.

Correct decision, Stewart makes eye contact before and makes zero attempt to turn any of his momentum from the tackle. Plants the right foot and braces fully into it

He turns sideways, remains upright and leads with his arm, hitting the guy with the ball on the head. Intention doesn’t come into it. It’s a red card.

The current laws leave the ref no choice. It's the law that is the issue and it's in place to protect the players. Had it been an England player off for an HIA would we be hearing the same comments?

That is utter nonsense- would never have been in that position if he didn’t knock it on. How can he assume they’ll knock it on when putting himself in a defensive position?!
