Reddit is deleting 25,000 posts a day. Most of them aren't spam bots. They're brands. This July, Reddit said it's now catching around 25,000 spammy posts and comments a day, using its own AI. Here's the part that matters: a lot of it isn't random spam. It's stealth marketing, content designed to look organic, built specifically to get a brand mentioned inside ChatGPT or Gemini. Reddit has content deals with OpenAI and Google. Those AI tools pull real answers from real Reddit threads. So if you can fake a thread, you can quietly plant your brand inside millions of AI answers. Reddit's response: new accounts get reviewed on creation, bots have to verify they're not human, and the platform now hunts for what it calls "coordinated patterns of fake behavior" the old systems missed. That's the AI slop cannon in the wild. Mass output, zero judgment, trying to force scale instead of earning it. And it's getting caught. So, what should you do with these changes on Reddit? I would actually tell you to not focus as much on Reddit, even though they have deals with both Open AI and Google. See, to really do well on Reddit, you need to network with other users. You need to provide a lot of helpful insights to people, and you can't really self-promote. The easier solution to get included both into Gemini and ChatGPT is actually to focus on LinkedIn. If you post content on LinkedIn, it's getting pulled heavily into both of these platforms. You control it cuz it's your own profiles. You also have people who work with you. They also can post. But here's the key. LinkedIn can now detect if the content being posted on your profile page is created through AI. If you create the content through AI, it only gets shown to your followers. If you create the content using your own words and typing it out manually and not using AI, it can get shown to your followers plus more. So the goal here is for you to now create content and publish it more on LinkedIn and switch your strategy to a LinkedIn first strategy over Reddit because even though Reddit works, it is going to be much more harder for you to penetrate. If you want to focus on Reddit, it's all about being helpful. Think of karma. The more you help people, the better off you're going to do.

There are massively more people sitting on 0-3 viewers than there are people sitting on 10 plus, even less so at 50 plus! If you constantly keep your eye on larger creators around you wondering why you're not growing or why you're on lower numbers, you may just create more worry and sadness for yourself because your perspective will be skewed 😢 Take a moment to appreciate how well you're doing for hitting that insane Affiliate status, or for getting a whopping 10 subs in a month, for example! 💚 Scrolling through the platform to see how other people starting out are streaming, interacting, and how they're doing, might be something that can help as well to make you appreciate just how well you're doing, and see that there are many other people like you working hard!

I'm constantly baffled that people don't understand that it is a volume and skill game to get followers, awareness, attention, and sales on social media. Too many people here are insecure and are overthinking their posts and, more importantly, only posting once every day, every other day, once a week. They are upset that they're not getting the results they're looking for. Just like at this fitness conference where I tried to make it very easy for them to understand why they weren't growing on social. It's no different than why so many of you are not growing in your fitness. You're not consistent. You're not doing it the right way. You're not doing it enough

LinkedIn just started hiding AI-written posts. And their system catches them 94 percent of the time. But the answer is NOT to stop using AI. They announced this in May. If your post sounds like everyone else's, it doesn't get deleted. It just stops spreading. Your followers see it. Nobody new ever does. They're even flagging the way AI writes. Sentences like "it's not this, it's that"? Flagged. But most people missed one line in that announcement: using AI to HELP you write is totally fine. You just have to make it sound like you. Here are 2 things you can do: One, give your AI your own stuff. Upload your old posts, your client results, your stories, your data, your transcripts. Now instead of pulling generic advice off the internet, it's writing from YOUR experience. In your voice. Two, write about what people care about RIGHT NOW. I check AnswerThePublic to see the exact questions my audience is typing in this week then I write about those. The more you sound like yourself and talk about real problems people face, the more people will want to hear what you have to say.

Sentences like "it's not this, it's that"? Flagged. But most people missed one line in that announcement: using AI to HELP you write is totally fine. You just have to make it sound like you. Here are 2 things you can do: One, give your AI your own stuff. Upload your old posts, your client results, your stories, your data, your transcripts. Now instead of pulling generic advice off the internet, it's writing from YOUR experience. In your voice. Two, write about what people care about RIGHT NOW. I check AnswerThePublic to see the exact questions my audience is typing in this week then I write about those. The more you sound like yourself and talk about real problems people face, the more people will want to hear what you have to say.

I often think of my father when I hear some academics pontificating about how to solve the unemployment problem. I'm tempted to say to them, 'Well, if you find it so easy to solve, why don't you go out and start up a business and employ by your own effort? I will tell you why, because you can't. It's easier to tell other people what to do about it than it is to sort it out yourself.' But in the end, we have to provide the kind of society where people who can do this, who can build up a business, are prepared to start because they're tremendously important.

I've started a nonprofit, GuardRailNow, and I need your help. Our approach is unique: I do not come from tech. I cannot write code. I do not live in SF. I am not an EA. I am not a rationalist. I have never been to Silicon Valley. I'm a dad in Baltimore talking about AI extinction risk to other people like me. AI Safety loves selling Bibles outside churches, preaching to the choir. It's easy to talk to people who are like you. It's much harder to talk with people who are very different than you. So why would AI safety people, who are from/in the SF bubble, who use EA/rationalist speech patterns and thought, think they are in any way the right people to bring the message to everyone else?? They are not. If AI Safety wants to get regular people on their side here's a hint: get out of the way. You are the problem. You do not act or talk or think in ways that connect with everyone else. I'm sorry if that sounds harsh. But our lives are on the line. Get over it and pass the ball to people like me.

That's your edge, you do something differently, something that 99% of other people are not willing to do and you will have different results than those people, that's the whole point." And suddenly you won't need discipline and all these other stupid things, you don't need to be meditating 3 hours per day, and other useless trading advice. You figure out what works, well guess what, then you can use whatever works, instead of jumping into the abyss with the crowd."
