Despite claims to the contrary, snap rat traps don't conveniently land on the neck, killing quickly. More often than not they land on the legs, or one paw, or in baby hedgehog Odette's case, across the pelvis. It takes days for the trapped animal to die, in agony, starving, dehydrating. The will to live is strong in all animals and the trapped struggle for their lives, sometimes degloving entire paws or feet. It's a barbaric, utterly inhumane device. Little Odette (named after the crippled swan in Swan Lake), only 320g, was spotted by a lovely lady on her way to work, who called for advice. If not for this compassionate woman's swift actions this poor animal would have suffered a slow, torturous, agonising death. Once here, I saw the rat trap was not legal, the apertures were too big (the maximum for a tunnel type trap is 51cm, and this was 65cm), and my keys didn't fit so I called the company and they kindly sent someone over from Surrey. There's no sound on this camera, and my gesticulating is me telling the man to be gentle (he'd assumed the hedgehog was dead, and was shocked she had survived and was still alive), and that the size of the entry hole is a legislative violation - making the harm done to Odette a wildlife crime. Miraculously I couldn't feel any breaks, and her circulation is intact. There's a lot of bruising, swelling and tenderness, but although it's only been one full day, I'm cautiously optimistic for dear baby Odette's recovery.

#EastEnders Heartbreaking scenes upstairs in the Vic where Kat and Zoe make amends whilst Zoe takes a trip down memory lane as she relives the "You ain't my mother" moment on the Square. 💔😭 As much as I hated Zoe's exit and the way the whole storyline was handled - this was my favourite moment from Zoe's exit scenes - the full circle moment for Zoe as she reflects on that life changing moment she found out that Kat was her mother and how she feels that Kat has picked up the pieces for her from that moment. The way Zoe broke down to Kat here was heartbreaking 💔😭 Zoe's self doubts rising as she worries about the direction she's taken in her life and whether there is something in her that drives people away. I think what this scene showed is that ICONIC moment almost felt like the stars had aligned. Zoe found out that Kat was her mum and her whole world was turned upside down then when they reunited last year it felt like Zoe had found her calling again. Zoe's felt trapped for years when she distanced herself from Kat and when Kat wasn't in her life feeling trapped isolated and alone. But now Zoe feels like she's got a purpose again because she's reunited with Kat - the way Kat blamed herself for the way Zoe has become is heartbreaking but this was the reassurance that Kat needed in this moment. Kat and Zoe have one of the most ICONIC mother daughter relationships in soap and as happy as I am to see Zoe and Kat back on good terms before her death - I just wish that Zoe and Kat's relationship was shown a lot more. There's so much history and depth to explore there imo and now Zoe is dead all this history that was teased last year when Zoe intially returned feels wasted. 💔😭 Jessie Wallace and Michelle Ryan are pure dynamite on screen together and it's moments like this that really demonstrates the strength and significance of Zoe and Kat's relationship - not just to the show but to the fans too. I hope this isn't the last time we'll see Michelle Ryan & Jessie Wallace work together again. This really does feel like the end of an era and it's heartbreaking 💔😭 Apart from the obvious - what has been your favourite Zoe Slater moment from over the years? I'm sorry Michelle/Zoe you deserved so much better!!!! 🥺😭💔😢

Claude Code can now make full videos from your terminal.. Not slideshows. Not text on screen.. Actual motion graphics with animations, transitions, custom photos, and background music. [ SHARED A TUTORIAL BELOW EDITED WITH THIS SETUP IN JUST 5mins ] ▫️Here's the setup: Claude Code + Remotion Remotion is a React based framework that renders video programmatically. You describe what you want in plain English, Claude writes the React components and Remotion renders it into a real MP4. What you can actually do with this: > Generate 9:16 vertical videos for TikTok / Reels / Shorts > Add animated text with viral hooks and safe zones > Pull live web screenshots directly into your scenes using Chrome MCP > Fact-check your content in real time with Perplexity MCP > Drop in your own photos and background music > Edit existing talking-head footage cut bloopers, add captions > Schedule posts to your socials straight from the terminal ▫️How to set it up (takes 5 minutes) : > Make sure you have Node.js installed ( node -v to check ) > Create a new Remotion project: npx create-video@latest Pick the Blank template, enable TailwindCSS, and install the Skills package when prompted. > Install dependencies: cd my-video npm install > Start the preview server: npm run dev > Open Claude Code in the same project folder: cd my-video claude That's it. You can now prompt videos in plain English. If you already have a Remotion project, just add the skill directly: npx skills add remotion-dev/skills This drops a SKILL.md into your project that gives Claude expert knowledge of Remotion.. animations, compositions, captions, assets, 3D content everything. Example prompt you can steal: "Create a 30-second 9:16 vertical video about the top 3 AI tools this week. Use animated text with a hook in the first 2 seconds. Add smooth transitions between scenes. Keep text in the safe zone for TikTok. Use a dark tech aesthetic with blue accent colors." Claude writes all the React code, renders a preview, you tweak with natural language, and export when ready. The crazy part is this whole pipeline is local, free (minus your Claude sub), and you never open a video editor. imo this kills CapCut for anyone making info-style content. You describe the video in English and get back a rendered MP4. try it now.

This tile guy started a concrete coatings business three months ago and he'll do $69,000 this month. $60k his first full month. and on track for 7 figures Startup cost? Under $1,000 if you rent the grinder. Maybe $25K if you buy everything new. Profit margins? Yes, Thanks for asking. Over 50%. This is just garage floor coatings. Nobody NEEDS their concrete coated. It's a luxury product. But the types of people who want it have money and they're not price sensitive. Mike charges $8 per square foot. His all-in materials cost is $2.06 per square foot. A typical two car garage is about 700 square feet. That's $5,600 in revenue and over $3,400 in profit per day. One crew can do a job in 10 hours. Sometimes less. Oh and he learned how to do this by watching YouTube videos. His first job was his own garage. Then he told people at church he was starting this thing. Booked three jobs that week just from word of mouth. From there it's been Meta ads at $30-100 per lead, 20% close rate, and booked solid ever since. In this episode Mike: - Breaks down the exact unit economics and profit margins - Shows how he reverse-engineered his pricing model - Tells me why Facebook ads crush Google for this business - Gives the three-material stack he uses and why he picked it - Explains why the bar is so low in blue collar businesses - Walks through how to start this for under $1,000 Mike's on track to do a million dollars his first year. It might be one of the best times ever to be AI savvy and in blue collar work. Mike is proof. Full episodes in the first comment below

how you can use openAI codex & gpt 5.5 completely FREE (the full guide) 100% legit. no subscription, zero API cost. up to 1M+ token/day. you need just an openAI account and here's how to set it up in 5mins. openAI has a program that gives eligible developers free API usage every day in exchange for sharing API data that helps improve future models. it's not a one-time credit, your allowance refreshes daily. depending on your usage tier, you can get access to hundreds of thousands, or even millions, of free tokens every single day on supported models. here's how to activate it: 1️⃣open your API dashboard: 2️⃣go to settings → data controls 3️⃣enable data sharing for your organization or project 4️⃣make sure your account has a positive API balance 5️⃣save the settings if your account is eligible, you'll see a message confirming access to complimentary daily usage. before you turn it on, know the tradeoff: • prompts and outputs from shared projects can be used to improve openai's models • don't use it for confidential information, client work, or sensitive data • eligibility depends on your account type and settings for everyone else, it's an incredible deal. use it to: • learn AI development • build side projects • experiment with codex • test agents and automations • prototype ideas without worrying about API costs most developers burn money testing ideas. this lets you experiment at scale while spending little to nothing.

Backrooms Nemoris S1E01: It Eats Light I've spent the last six months working in secret on this pilot episode for a new Backrooms canon. We premiered this week in Toronto and a it's now available on all platforms: a new Magnific Originals series! This is quite possibly the most complex project I've ever taken on in my life. Yep, even if that sounds like an exaggeration, it took even more effort than building the first version of Magnific Upscaler. I had never before tried to bring such a concrete, specific vision to the screen while pushing the current state of the art as far as possible. Every scene you see in this episode, every object, every movement of a character's hands, every space, every hum of the fluorescent lights... it's all there for a very specific reason, with absolute control and intention on my part. I never imagined that something that looks so simple on the surface could be so incredibly complicated. The script is my own, based on the original Backrooms concept (the iconic 4chan image) but developed to create an entirely new canon from scratch. In this first episode, I reveal barely more around 5% of the overall puzzle, so you may end up thinking: what the f*ck did I just watch? Or you may need multiple viewings to pick up on some extra clues, because several of them are genuinely hidden. The idea is to create a full 10 episode series, an anthology, and have you, the viewers, gradually piece together the puzzle yourselves as the clues are revealed. Beyond the video and image generations, I did all of the editing in DaVinci Resolve, with particular attention to the sound. I'd say around 60% of the time I spent on this project went into sound. In some scenes, there are more than 13 stereo tracks layered at the same time, using sounds I recorded myself or created and edited from generations and foley libraries. Every sound, every voice, and every gasp is designed to pull you into the world of the story and make you feel like you're actually there. That meant spending an enormous amount of time on sound design, thinking about things like the individual position of each sound in space, EQ, reverb to simulate different environments, the sense of immersion, etc. I've never learned so much about something so quickly. As for the generations, a few numbers: • 12 hours of total generated video for 17 minutes of final footage 🤯 • More than 7,000 generations in total. • An average of around 60 generations for every 15 seconds of final footage. • 6 months of work, including many weekends, with just one person behind the whole thing... I almost lost my mind. • Platform: Magnific, of course. Models: mainly Seedance 2.0 and 2.5 for video generations, and Nano Banana Pro and Seedream 5 for image references. • Approximately $20,000 in total token costs, not including the value of my own time. For the next episodes, I can't do this alone again or I'll go crazy. My plan is to put together a small team: voice actors, a colorist, 3D VFX artists, a sound designer, and, in general, people from the traditional film industry who can help us professionalize our pipeline and take this story to another level. If you're reading this and you think you might be interested, please leave a comment. Ah! If you have any technical questions about how this was made, I'd be happy to answer them. Feel free to ask me anything you like! Anyway, I'll leave you with the episode. For the love of everything holy: please watch it at home, relaxed, on a big screen, with a good sound system or a quality pair of headphones, the lights off, and some popcorn. And most importantly, enjoy. Nemus te reddat!
