The Senedd was debating Plaid's childcare offer and a Plaid politician added an amendment saying that "the Senedd notes that Reform UK had no commitments on childcare in its Welsh manifesto" and that "providing access to childcare would reduce child poverty in Wales". He was in Newport today to unveil the party's Welsh leader - a former London Tory councillor. Dan Thomas, who grew up in the Welsh valleys, described the elections as the last chance for Wales. He also repeated Reform's commitment to abolish Labour’s controversial default 20 miles per hour speed limit.

This is truly disgraceful. Jack Posobiec is a public figure and the author of a controversial book. I approached him in public and politely asked him a direct question about the book. He acted like a 15 year old coke head, and a coward. Then he actually committed a crime by making a deliberate false statement to law enforcement. I didn't curse at his wife, I didn't speak to her at all. I didn't even notice Tanya Tay Posobiec ☦️ with him until he brought her up. He lied to NYPD again when he said he didn't know who I am. Notice in the first few frames of this video, he appears to see me, then turns around looking annoyed and tries to hurry past.

Zimbabwean Member of Parliament for Chinhoyi, Leslie Mhangwa, was speaking at a Workers’ Day event when the microphone was rudely taken away from him by ZANUPF thugs who are part of the intelligence infrastructure. He was saved by members of the public who were listening to his address. Now, if a Member of Parliament is not allowed to speak at a public event addressing issues that are affecting workers, and the microphone is violently taken away from him simply because he has said that the inflation rate is not matching wage increases, and that is seen as a threat to the government of the day, what kind of society has Zimbabwe become? What about an ordinary person like myself or others? What would happen to us if this can happen to an elected official, a Member of Parliament who is speaking to the constituents who elected him, yet is not allowed to do so? These are the things that have turned Zimbabwe into a banana republic. These are the actions that continue to delegitimise our country’s standing internationally. You cannot have mob justice. You cannot have a mob turning up at an official event where a Member of Parliament has been given the floor to speak and is then treated like this.

Parliament cannot script a judgement of a court. Parliament can only legislate and hold institutions, including Judiciary and Executive, accountable. Judgement writing, adjudication, is the sole prerogative of Judiciary, as much as legislation is that of the Parliament. But frequently we are seeing that the executive governance is by judicial orders. When the government is elected by people, it is accountable to Parliament. The government is accountable to the people at election. There is a principle of accountability in operation. In Parliament, you can ask questions, critical questions, because the governance is by the Executive. But if this executive governance is by Judiciary, how do you ask questions? Whom do you hold accountable in elections? Time has come for our three institutions, Legislature, Judiciary, and Executive, to blossom. And they blossom best when they operate in their own area. Any incursion by one in the domain of the other poses a challenge, which is not good. It can upset the balance. The relationship between these three must be wholesome, soothing, one of deep understanding and coordination, not show of authority. #RajyaSabha
