I worked behind a counter like this, you can't see where the customer is pointing, it's called blind spots. The guy behind the counter isn't a mind-reader nor does he have x-ray vision. The product is marked, use the names of the product or color if you can't read.

I once slammed the drive thru window on a rude ass lady when I was 17. I named every chocolate flavored drink on the menu and couldn’t read her mind to determine which one she wanted. My boss asked me if I did it and I said “yes I did”. Lady was like 50. Gone somewhere!
