In the Finance Bill 2026, there is NO clause introducing leasehold land ownership or converting all freehold land into leasehold. Leasehold has existed in Kenyan law for decades. What the Bill proposes is tighter taxation and formalization of the property sector through rental tax compliance and digital landlord registration. Leadership is about clarity. If there is a clause introducing forced leasehold conversion, quote it directly from the Bill for Kenyans to see, but don't just tell us to reject finance bill.....you can do better.

Give policy proposals to improve it. We cannot be rejecting everything that wants to propel Kenya forward.
