Remaking Verhoeven is a fool’s errand, one which we’ve already suffered twice. These pale imitators will never touch my Dutch king’s on set energy

The scene where Robocop starts dragging Ray Wise by his hair through an industrial club full of goths and new wavers might be one of the funniest scenes committed to film

bitches leave is such a funny line

I agree so much. Verhoeven has a completely unique energy that simply cannot be replicated. They also will not have Jost Vacano as DP (also did Das Boot, Starship Troopers, and Soldier of Orance) or writer Edward Neumeier. Robocop was lightning in a bottle

When it's last call and your friend makes it weird and blows up everybody's spot

yes but on the other hand, Dan Stevens

I love the obsession with keeping IPs going and never letting anything be one-offs. So many franchises are like skinwalkers, they have nothing to do withthe original but its aeathetic

Yep, just like with Total Recall...Nope!

Yeah but Dan Stevens . Hope we get him to see sing and dance. Why robocop would do that I don't know but it would be 😎

Nothing can touch the raw cynicism of the vibe. They blew it so hard in the 2014 remake but how can you top the ad slots from the original? Factor 5,000 sunscreen! I’D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR!!!!!

Verhoeven is such a legend that even when hes trying to make something gay and retarded, he fails and makes something fuckin amazing (Starship Troopers)

What the did to The Toxic Avenger was criminal

God we need him more than ever, but do not deserve him.

RoboCop is probably my favourite movie. I've no problem with them doing new takes. The original will always exist and there's always a chance they can produce something relevant and entertaining. If it has heart, satire and ultra violence - I'm onboard.

Are we trying to pretend noone involved in the original robo has made a bad sequel to the classic. It's time to let it go and let Robo be reborn, just not like that bonkers remake ghost in the shell bullshit they slapped his name onto. It's a great story. I'd buy it for a dollar.

I hear what your saying. Im skeptical myself but I think it’s worth seeing what they come up with. If they don’t copy the same tone and vibe of the original then it’s likely doomed to fail.

I love the Verhoeven universe, you could watch all his movies together

I rewatched the series a few months ago and dude, I sobbed so hard when Alex went to his house. All the pics up on the wall of him/family with him realizing what happened and what he is now. So unbelievably fucking sad. My fave part is the beginning with the robot that goes -

Hope it’s not a remake but a continuation set after Robocop 2 ( nothing against R3 ) but think having “old Detroit” being very much in existence while Delta City is still being worked on is better

Even Robocop 2 which is a good sequel could not capture the magic of the first movie. But they'll try. They will keep trying to reboot these franchises without giving us Robocop Vs Terminator.

Bitches leave

They'll never replicate robocop without finding someone as expressive and eccentric as Verhoeven. Funny timing cause Paul is reuniting with the Robocop screen writer for an erotic thriller!

Absurdly stacked cast for this scene alone lmao u cannot get sauce like that anymore lmao

Best villan ever!

Hilarious! 🤣

You have to be British to play a cop from Detroit.

Bad Casting 😕

1. Serve the diversity 2. Protect the dolls 3. Uphold the equity 4. Believe all women _ _ _

What's the name of this video

I’m working on a robot cop story… It’s called RoboCop Delta city. Bob Morton Jr… Is the guy who runs OCP and the new Delta city he’s the son of one of these ladies who are the bitches told to leave. @grok thoughts ROBOCOP: DELTA CITY THE SETUP Thirty years after the original RoboCop, the program has been perfected. Delta City exists—a gleaming metropolis where RoboCops are on every corner, helping old ladies cross the street, protecting children, and responding en masse to any threat. Crime is nearly extinct. The city runs on trust, not fear. Bob Morton Sr. was killed for this vision. Dick Jones ordered his murder, and Clarence Boddicker carried it out—but not before ordering two women out of Morton's apartment. "Bitches, leave." They fled. Morton died. What Jones never knew: both women were pregnant. THE TWO WOMEN Tawney Morton was the first. She met Bob Morton at a bar. The pickup line was simple: "Morton? That's my name. I hope we're not related." She laughed. They started dating. The night of the murder, she was in the apartment. She fled. She was carrying Bob's son. Chandra was the other woman. She fled alongside Tawney. She was also pregnant. She carried Bob's daughter. Two women. Two children. One legacy. --- BOB ALEXANDER MORTON JR. Tawney named her son Bob Alexander Morton Jr. —"Bob" for his father, "Alexander" for Alex Murphy (RoboCop), the man who avenged his father by killing Dick Jones. The name carries the entire story: the creator and the avenger. Junior grew up in the ruins of Old Detroit. His mother told him the truth when he was old enough: who his father was, how he died, what he dreamed of. Junior devoted his life to completing that dream. He studied his father's notes. He discovered the "governing function"—the brain type that made Murphy succeed. Only officers with trust-based governing functions can survive the RoboCop procedure. The program doesn't make them worthy. It finds them worthy. He also found his sister—Chandra's daughter, now an adult, who grew up not knowing who her father was. Junior brings her to OCP Tower. He walks her through the building. He tells her everything. He reveals: "Your mother was in that room. You're my sister. Your father was Bob Morton." --- THE MURPHY CLASS All RoboCops are designated "Murphy." It honors the original. It protects anonymity. Families know their loved ones signed up, but they never know which visor is theirs. Every Murphy could be someone's husband, father, or son. Every Murphy deserves respect. The program is now global. Officers worldwide can enroll. Rewards incentivize service. But only the worthy are chosen—only those with the Murphy brain. --- THE CONFLICT Delta City is the proof that trust works. A rival corporation—the Fear Corporation—profits from fear. They sell weapons, security systems, and surveillance to a terrified world. If Delta City spreads, their business dies. They attack by revealing the truth about memory fragmentation. They frame it as theft, not sacrifice. They try to turn the RoboCops against OCP. They try to turn the public against the RoboCops. They try to destroy trust. --- THE RESOLUTION Junior speaks the trigger phrase—the same words Dick Jones used to boast about murder. "I had to kill Bob Morton because he made a mistake. Now it's time to erase that mistake." The encryption unlocks. Directive Zero appears on every RoboCop's display: "You were chosen because you were worthy." The RoboCops realize they weren't victims. They were honored. Their families are proud. They turn as one. The city descends. The OK Corral shootout begins. The villain is defeated. Trust wins. Fear loses. --- THE LEGACY The original RoboCop was about a man trapped in a machine. RoboCop: Delta City is about an army of men—the best of the best—being honored in a machine, choosing to stay because their purpose is more important than their past.

😂😂😂

Oh no, there might be a shitty remake that isn't true to the original? This would be an unprecedented problem for any property involving Paul Verhoeven!
