Iran has launched one of the largest deportations ever. 600 000 illegal migrants from Afghanistan have been in the past 6 weeks. The number has increased in the past 10 days with between 30,000-50,000 migrants being deported daily at the moment. Pakistan launched a similar deportation campaign against illegal migrants from Afghanistan in September 2023 and has since deported 1.6 million Afghans. Iran and Pakistan have now deported a total of 2.2 million Afghans in the past 2 years. This exchange is extraordinary not just because in a normal world you wouldn't have to point out that crossing the border illegally is a crime, and there is nothing different about families being separated if they cross the border illegally than a range of other crimes such as DUI or domestic violence. But it also shows you how much the progressive left has distorted what it means to live in a rules based society where the law applies to Americans, but not to illegal asylum seekers.

In this interview with Maria Maynes from gript Una highlights how nationality and ethnicity are not recorded as a mandatory field on An Garda Siochana’s PULSE system, which is why the CSO do not currently publish data on migration and crime: "This is authorised under law by the Data Protection Act 2018. The law has been in place now for the last seven years and has not been acted on, to the detriment of the Irish people and the Irish criminal justice system". Una calls on the Garda Commissioner, the Minister for Justice and the CSO to URGENTLY review PULSE so that nationality and ethnicity are recorded as a mandatory field. Other EU countries including Denmark and Sweden record and publish the facts on the correlation between migration and crime but NOT Ireland. The Irish people have a right to know the facts.

Una calls on the Garda Commissioner, the Minister for Justice and the CSO to URGENTLY review PULSE so that nationality and ethnicity are recorded as a mandatory field. Other EU countries including Denmark and Sweden record and publish the facts on the correlation between migration and crime but NOT Ireland. The Irish people have a right to know the facts.
