🚨 Remember this⁉️ 702 “You Don’t Know” (1999) 🌊

This was such a pop friendly, radio ready record. I’m not sure why this didn’t do well and why it didn’t keep the needle moving. Their second album should have been even bigger. You’d think after a huge moment with WMGA, it would have been a huge era. It wasn’t. Looking back, 702 were mishandle. This is still in rotation for me over here. Don’t get me started on their third album ‘STAR’.

The Missy Elliott remix goes harder and you can never find it.

Missy was on every track! Love her 😍

Pharrell almost kicked them out of the studio for not getting his vision. 702's You Don't Know defined 1999 R&B with a beat that sounded like the future but was actually pure street grit. 🎵 🤔 Fun Fact: The iconic synth sound driving the whole track didn't come from thousand-dollar gear; Pharrell pulled it from a cheap toy keyboard he found at a clearance sale! Did you know? 🤯

Fire album 🔥

They were like "Hey, Missy" how we gonna compete with TLC's Waterfalls and No Scrubs videos on a shoestring budget. And THIS here is your answer. No, nobody remembers this. Not compared to the aforementioned, TLC videos.
