In 1990, Border Patrol's budget was 262m it is now close to 5 billion. It increased every year. Democrats have consistently supported deportation with due process. Trump's rhetoric is inflammatory and racist. His policies violate the rule of law by denying due process.

Probsbly because immigrants still received due process, there was a prioritization of action for recent arrivals and national security threats and the administration did not go to court to be able to use racial and ethnic profiling.

And the Democrat Party has been taken over by Marxist's. The Democrat Party and Democrat Socialists of America are basically one and the same.

They believed, back then, that (only) the republicans wanted illegal immigrants for cheap labor. Their narrative was that they took jobs away from Americans. Now that they want them to swing elections, they argue in favor of the cheap labor and against the societal implications.
