Remember when Michigan won a "Natty" in 97 on this one? Still 1 second left (should of been 3) but hey fuck it... nonsense

That’s how that game ended? You gotta be kidding me.

should of stopped the clock at 4 seconds cuz the first down.

Nebraska would've skulldragged Michigan that year.

I remember, that's when they barely beat Ryan leaf, and Nebraska obliterate Peyton manning. But they claimed they were better than Nebraska

They decided to add that missed second to help Michigan last night.

So what youre saying is that Michigan has won 0 national titles since 1950 that don't involve cheating

That's where they found the extra second for last night

Remember how two plays before, the Coug receiver pushed Woodson with two hands to the ground to catch a Hail Mary to get out from their own end zone with very little time left😂. Ref grabs flag, can’t get it out and decides never mind. That end of game BS should have never been

what does that have to do with the clock being inaccurate?

You are making that play relevant! It never should have happened! The Heisman Trophy winner picks that ball if not blatantly pushed! All clocks will soon have 10ths of seconds on them to solve this inconsistency. That second to last play did not take 9 seconds. Time it!

You’re actually supporting what happened last night. Had this happened today, WSU absolutely would’ve gotten another play. That’s why they do it how they do it now.

Huh? They had first down to stop the clock then

Had *

Michigan didn’t win that ‘natty.’ 2 undefeated teams vying for #1 that year: In the bowls, Michigan struggled to beat the #9 team Washington State by 5 points (with the “fast” clock shown😂), while Nebraska was STOMPING #3 Tennessee & Peyton Manning 42-25. Huskers clear #1.

This was absolute crap... Ball carrier down at :04, clock stopped at :03, then mysteriously between clock stoppage and next snap another second elapsed Point being, Michigan has been cheating or bribing for decades... The Western Michigan game was just example #104577

Thanks for posting this Always felt bad for Wazzu that this happened

Meanwhile Nebraska beat #3 Tennessee 42-17. A team so loaded they lost Peyton Manning and won the natty the next year anyway in 98. Michigan was gifted that title in 97

Yeah. Totally Michigan cheating. Fuck head

Dundee we’ve never been more aligned

Bummer championships weren't decided on the field in these days. Nebraska would have smoked these bums

This was their own fault for killing the clock when they didnt need to, snap the ball and try to win the game

Played an ineligible player

Michigan doesn’t control the clock. But yes wsu should have had another play

No…Nebraska won the coaches poll….Michigan won the AP. No one gave a shit about the AP.

If thats what you’re arguing, then there should’ve been 11 seconds instead of 9 last night, but as people have pointed out, it’s not when the knee goes down, it’s when the official makes a signal.

No, don't remember them winning a natty in 97. That was Nebraska

The Rose Bowl clock went from 3 seconds to 2 after a delay when the clock had originally been stopped for the first down but before the ball had been spotted.

Replay didn't exist moron

never said it did. Just saying they ran the clock when they were setting up the sticks. Should have been one more play. I'm no Michigan hater either.

@jschlime

@jschlime Which means there should be 1 second left. First down to stop clock should of been stopped at 4 seconds watch the clip

If you must know you have to take 2 seconds off the clock for spikes, idk when it became an unofficial rule but look at any spike its always 2 seconds off the clock

And shortly before this happened, the WSU WR grabbed and pushed Woodson to the ground on a long WSU reception that was clearly OPI. Of course that doesn't fit your narrative.

GD they've been cheating since the 90s

Clock doesn't stop for an entire minute lmao also Michigan would have WRECKED Nebraska too.

That wasn't the real clock...c'mon Bro.

it was 1/2 a Natty, they didn't win it outright. Fuck them, cheating cocksuckers

The only good thing about this play is that a lot of the coaches poll voters probably picked Nebraska #1 because of this So this at least cost Michigan an outright National Title Ironically, same thing happened with Colorado in 1990 Everyone remembered the fifth down play so the coaches voted Georgia Tech #1

You see... there is a secret clock...

Yeah, they should've gotten another play.

Ah yes, the year Nebraska beat Colorado on a 5th down play.

They backed into a split natty that Nebraska would have won outright if they didn’t lick out playing in the Rose Bowl.
