Remember when people claimed iPhone’s 60Hz felt as smooth as Android’s 120Hz? 😭 Now try handing them a 60Hz iPhone after using 120Hz for a while. The difference is huge. And I would still say Android 120hz is way smoother compared to iPhones.

Here we have the iPhone 13 at 60hz vs S23 Ultra at 120hz. Notice the S23 Ultra has smoother transitions but the animations are bad because of it being non-linear. There's a difference between refresh rate and animations. Sure iPhone looked smooth because of the animations, but the S23 Ultra had more frames in the animations because of the higher refresh rate. But then Samsung messed up with its linear animations. Hopefully, with one UI 6, we see the non-linear animations coupled with 120hz.

Don't confuse the elegance and fluency of animation. For example, the animation of iOS 18 is still elegant, but it is not smooth. Anyone can feel that iOS 18 still limits the refresh rate of most scenes to 80Hz. For Android users who are used to 120Hz, iOS 18 looks really not smooth. This is why it is difficult for me to use iPhone 16 Pro Max as the main mobile phone.

#WATCH | Bengaluru: A customer, Rahul, says, "I've been here since around 5 AM. There was a long queue. People from Haryana, Delhi, and Mumbai are here just to buy the iPhone. I've been purchasing iPhones for a very long time. I remember my first iPhone was an iPhone 7. Since then, I've been continuously buying iPhones... iPhone launch is like a festival. Every year, I try to buy an iPhone..."

Outside of economic concerns, the US needs a domestic data center buildout because compute and intelligence are national strategic assets. — stephen balaban Handing the keys over to anyone else would be a disaster. "What happens when they cut it off? We all experienced this when Fable went away for a little bit, if you remember." "I remember, I called some people, and I said, 'This is what it feels like to have the electricity cut off.'" "I thought to myself immediately, '[Intelligence] is as much of a strategic asset as our grid is.'"

Another reason why my farts are so big - I hold them and build up pressure for one huge rip. This is me *not* holding them. Pressing record every time i felt one coming. This is in the span of about 45min. Now i try and sleep. Im still farting as i post this.

I've called on the Government to extend free bus travel to young people, same as is done for pensioners. Free buses are a lifeline for many pensioners, and would make a huge difference for young people. We need a consistent national approach, not a postcode lottery.

Barely know any android users, but I saw a friend’s foldable and now I want one Same size as an iPhone Max when folded, but opens into a tablet. iPad + iPhone in one, with longer battery life and faster charging. Apple is so behind 😢 Would buy a flip if they made one.

A disabled man launched the 120 HOURS memecoin after claiming he had only 120 hours left to live. The market cap exploded as people felt sorry for him. He claimed the fees would go to his family, which motivated even more people to buy. The token surged past $500K market cap before he rugged it live, drained liquidity, and disappeared. Always remember: in crypto, a good story is not the same thing as a good investment.

This young lady was trying to finish her workout in the machine when another woman attempted to kick her off of it because she’s in a rush. The woman claimed the young lady was already on the machine for 10 minutes and felt entitled enough to say that it’s her turn now. What would you do? I would ignore her in hopes she walks away, at least the whole thing is on camera so she can report it. After working out for about 30 years now, I can say that most of the time gym people are pretty chill people. Every so often I see some Karen types beginning to come in and ruin the experience for other people. What I hate is they try to rush me off the machine only for them to sit there and scroll on their phone. I used to avoid the confrontation by just letting them use it, I can always come back to it I would say to myself. After seeing so many of them so comfortable with imposing their will on others I now just ignore them, I won’t even acknowledge them, that’s why I have headphones on anyways, it’s my excuse to ignore them without being rude. It doesn’t make sense to me by getting out of their way when I was first. I understand if I was on there for a long time then maybe I will let them go first but the way I see it, I am every bit entitled to use it when I get there first, I shouldn’t have to get out of the way just because they want me to. Would you do the same? I would like to think most people would agree with me on this matter.

While there is "some joy in knowing that the bombing of the people in Gaza has stopped," Israeli historian Ilan Pappé warns that many Israeli leaders are still committed to using violence in order to "wipe out Palestine as a nation, as a people and as a country."
