Reza Pahlavi is becoming increasingly desperate, releasing a 4-minute video on X in which he talks about his policies if he had come to power in Iran. Pahlavi says that under his leadership, relations with America would have normalized, and Iran 'would have immediately recognized the State of Israel', joining the Abraham Accords. In addition, he says that he would open Iranian markets to American investments, pledging to sell Iranian oil at low prices to the "free world". He says that he would fight against "Islamic extremism" and completely stop Iran's nuclear program.

If you're looking back at Michael Thomas scoring his legendary goal on this day in 1989, you might wonder what he was doing with his celebration. From earlier the same season, this is what it would have looked like, if he hadn't been interrupted at Anfield by Martin Hayes.

A routine anti-poaching patrol. A tiny calf spotted alone in the Tsavo bush. Two pilots watching from the air for nearly two hours, hoping his family would return. They never did. Today, Arthi turns two. In this video from the month of his rescue, he was still finding his feet at the Nursery – getting used to his Keepers, his new herd, and the safety of knowing where his next meal would come from. Now he's an easygoing, independent young bull who enjoys doing his own thing but appreciates the company of gentle friends. He prefers play-wrestling with Taroha and Olomunyak over rougher characters like Pardamat – and that calm, confident nature has made him a favourite among the Nursery herd. His rescue led to another life saved that day. Two for the price of one. Happy birthday, Arthi. Adopt Arthi:

Today isn’t just Boxing Day. It’s also Mao’s birthday. There’s this episode of The Simpsons where Homer takes his family to China. In Tiananmen Square, they come across a placard that reads: “On this site, in 1989, nothing happened.” Then Homer pays his “respects” to Mao Zedong as “a little angel that killed 50 million people," and inadvertently recreates the iconic Tank Man image. Obviously, this episode would have never been made today:

Happy Birthday to one of my all-time favorite Domers ever Ricky Watters. He was a member of the 1988 National Championship team and finished his career at Notre Dame with 1,814yds rushing and 21TDs and 610 yds receiving for 2TDs. He went on to have an impressive 10yr career in the NFL rushing for 10,643yds and 78TDs. To celebrate it’s a great time to relive this legendary call from Tony Roberts of Ricky returning a kickoff for a touchdown against Michigan in 1988!☘️

Imagine telling 2014 Hope—the boy who stood on stage at their first Muster, eyes filled with tears and voice trembling with gratitude—that one day, in 2025, long after the world thought it may have seen his brightest moments, he’d be standing on a stage in Mexico—breathless, speechless—drowning in a love so fierce it would make his heart stutter. Would he believe it? Would he believe that the boy who once wished to be a flower-like singer—beautiful in bloom and graceful even when wilted—would one day be met with an ocean of voices, all calling his name with unwavering devotion? Time has changed him, shaped him, but ARMY’s love only grew louder—fiercer—unstoppable. The boy who once stood on that small stage, praying that the light from his bloom would reach the world, now stands embraced by it, completely overwhelmed. And maybe somewhere deep down, 2014 Hope would smile—because even in those early days, he knew he wanted to touch hearts. He just didn’t know how many, or how deeply. 🌸💜 🌸💜 🌸💜 🌸 #HOPE_ON_THE_STAGE_TOUR_CDMX DAY 1 #jhope of 방탄소년단

🚨Ravichandran Ashwin picks Sachin Tendulkar over Virat Kohli in ODIs🤯 Ravichandran Ashwin said :🗣️ "Every time, I'll stick my neck out and say Sachin Tendulkar is ahead on two counts. First, I'm a big fan. And how he played, the circumstances in his career, and Indian cricket's hope. It is not Virat Kohli's fault. If Virat Kohli in any generation batted at number 3 for India, he would have been a champion player, I have no doubts. But if you look at the rules, when West Indies were batting, after 34 overs, one ball had to be used. The ball became completely old in daylight. Sachin Tendulkar played a lot of 50 over cricket in daytime. And to compare people of two generations is absolutely sinister in my view".

Arjun Rampal married his girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades. who is 14 years his junior at the age of 53. What is surprising is that they had been in a relationship since 2018 and already had two sons before tying the knot. Their first son was born in 2019. Their second son was born in 2023. Arjun and Gabriella got married in 2026. But if their sons were to do the same thing in the future, would they object? If they did, the son might ask- "Dad, what did 'you' do?" If they didn't object, this could gradually become a trend. where the father gets married instead of the son.

#Illini Dick Butkus almost went to Notre Dame, his son Matt told me. "On his on his recruiting trip to Notre Dame, he asked where the marriage dorms were, and they said, 'You play football here, you don't get married.'" "Illinois was like, 'Oh, these are brand new dorms, and we'll get her a job at the bank!'" Butkus played OL and LB for Illinois, and led them to a 1964 Rose Bowl championship. He finished 6th and 3rd in the Heisman in his last two seasons. He's one of two numbers retired at Illinois, and has a statue. In 1962, they allowed 26 PPG. In 1963, it dropped to 9.9 PPG. He was drafted by the Chicago Bears and became of the greatest linebackers to ever live. On Saturday, the Butkus Award ceremony was held, and the top LBs in HS, College and NFL were presented. Josh Rodriguez of Texas Tech, Jack Campbell of the Detroit Lions and Tyler Atkinson of Grayson High School in Georgia were the winners

There are 450 players in the NBA. Of those 450 players……maybe……38 are star players. The other 412 players are all ROLE players!! This means that roughly 85% of the players with jobs in the NBA are ROLE players. The key then to getting to the NBA and staying in the NBA is mastering your ROLE, no matter how big or small that ROLE may be. Patrick Beverley averaged 40ppg in high school while playing in the toughest inner-city league in Chicago. Beverley would not have lasted two seasons in the NBA trying to be a scorer, so he found his ROLE, and turned that into a 12 year career with $82 million in career earnings. Draymond Green is capable of averaging 18-20ppg. That is not his ROLE with the Warriors. He has turned his ROLE into a 14 year career and $228 million in career earnings. No one is asking Bronny James to be a scorer. The Lakers have FOUR scorers. Bronny’s ROLE is to be an elite defender, to knock down open jump shots, and to be aggressive in attacking on offense when opportunities arise. Bronny is growing into his ROLE. A 22-year old earning $120,000 every two weeks while working with his father who is a billionaire is a failure in YOUR eyes if the 22 year old does not average 20ppg because you are both broke AND stupid, and you don’t understand the BUSINESS of the NBA!

Two incorrect calls in the last two minutes/overtime of the Rockets-Lakers game, according to the NBA. 1st was a missed lane violation that should have been called on Marcus Smart, which would have made it a 4-point Rockets lead instead of 3 with 25 seconds left. Of course the Lakers tied the game with a 3 immediately after this free throw. 2nd was a LeBron rebound in overtime that should have been out of bounds, where the Rockets got the ball back immediately after.

Robert Wadlow was the tallest human ever accurately measured, standing at a staggering 8 ft 11 in (2.72 m), and he was still growing when his life ended due to a fatal infection caused by a wound on his leg. Had he lived longer, he would have approached the heights attributed to the Anakim in the Bible and the Quinametzin giants of Aztec tradition. Interestingly, he had red hair, much like the alleged giant described in stories about Kandahar, Afghanistan. He died in 1940 at the age of 22 and was a Master Mason in the Grand Lodge of Illinois. Here he stands next to his 5.11ft tall father. Was this the result of a Nephilim bloodline, or simply what mainstream science explains as an abnormally high level of human growth hormone (HGH)?

Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr. in a recent interview opened up about how Lionel Messi ruined his career in Barca. He accused Messi of selfishness and claiming Messi repeatedly derailed his path to becoming the world’s best player. “Messi is a great player and teammate but he made my career miserable,” Neymar said. “I would have been the world best player but Messi was selfish enough to not allow me win anything.” When pressed on the much-hyped reunion at Paris Saint-Germain in 2021, where Neymar, Messi, and Kylian Mbappé were expected to form football’s ultimate superteam, Neymar said. “I went to PSG so that I can become the best player in the world but Messi came there too and ruined that too,” he continued. “He did the same with the Copa America when Argentina cheated to win the final in 2021.” Neymar’s pointed reference to the 2021 Copa América final—where Argentina defeated Brazil 1-0 on home soil—has ignited fresh controversy.

When 102-year-old World War II veteran Wally King asks you to have a beer at the Stop Bar in Sainte-Mère-Église in Normandy, you have a beer (or two) with Wally King at the Stop Bar in Sainte-Mère-Église in Normandy. What an honor! Wally flew 75 combat missions in the Second World War in P-51 Mustangs and P-47 Thunderbolts. He was shot down in April of 1945, parachuting out of his P-47 over Germany and becoming a POW before then evading both German and Soviet forces on his way to freedom. Legend! I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to Normandy with Wally three times for D-Day commemoration events with the Best Defense Foundation over the past few years. We always have a blast! 🇺🇸
