Once, Kishore Kumar ji asked Lata ji, "Didi, among the songs I’ve sung, which one is your favorite?" Lata ji replied, "Dada, should I tell you or sing it for you?" Kishore Kumar ji immediately said, "Didi, please sing it!" Lata ji laughed and said, "Not now… maybe some other time." On his next birthday, Lataji sent him a gift - a Kishore Kumar song she specially recorded in HMV studio and sang for him. It was a rare and touching gesture — a beautiful tribute Remembering Lataji Please listen to the song!

Now this I have never seen before! From Barry Manilow's 3rd TV special (1979). Barry Manilow and John Denver singing Everly Brothers songs. When you get the precise two voices together for harmonies, it can actually make it sound like there's a phantom 3rd voice singing along with the singers. Talk about pure magic! What was your favorite song in the clip?

Today the legendary Peabo Bryson passed away. Baekhyun has referenced studying Peabo's vocal techniques and his song "Why Goodbye." Baekhyun also aspires to be a singer like Peabo, who sings well for a long time. Peabo was a R&B singer and he also sang two of Disney's most iconic duets, A Whole New World with Regina Belle & Beauty and the Beast with Celine Dion. Rest in peace Peabo Bryson

World-renowned Dutch conductor and violinist André Rieu André Rieu, together with Ukrainian-born singer Anna Reker, performed the legendary Ukrainian Christmas carol Shchedryk (Carol of the Bells). It was performed live during the Johann Strauss Orchestra concert in Maastricht, Netherlands. As Rieu admitted, he always thought that Carol of the Bells was an American Christmas song. But Anna, one of the orchestra's soloists, told him that the song was originally a Ukrainian carol and suggested performing it, to which the conductor agreed.

The melody has fallen silent, but its echo will remain immortal in our memories… Deeply saddened by the demise of legendary singer and one of the foremost voices of Indian Music, Padma Vibhushan and Maharashtra Bhushan Ashatai Bhosle. She was one of the versatile voices that shaped the industry and her passing marks the end of an era. Her timeless songs continue to inspire and resonate with millions. In 2011, she achieved the Guinness World Record for the most studio recordings (singles), across more than 20 Indian languages. With a remarkable body of work spanning decades, her contribution to Indian music is truly unparalleled. I offer my humble tributes to the iconic artist and offer condolences to her family, friends, and admirers across the globe. ॐ शान्ति 🙏

Michael Jackson and Princess Diana met in 1988 at Wembley Stadium in London, where Jackson was performing on his Bad World Tour. The singer presented her with a charity donation as well as some tour jackets for the princes, William and Harry. Princess Diana was reportedly disappointed when Jackson told her that, out of respect, he would not be performing one of her favorite songs, 'Dirty Diana', despite the song not being about her!

Deeply saddened at the passing away of Asha Bhosle Ji. One of the most successful, popular, and prolific singers of Indian cinema, whose captivating melodies kept several generations of music lovers spellbound. Asha Ji began singing professionally at the age of 9, recorded her first film song in 1943 and by the 1950s, had carved a niche for herself in Bollywood. Immensely talented and hugely popular, she was a seven-time winner of the Filmfare Best Female Playback Singer Award and a two-time winner of the National Film Award- for musical gems like “Dil Cheez Kya Hai” from Umrao Jaan and “Mera Kuch Saamaan” from Ijaazat. Known for her range and versatility, Asha Ji’s work, in multiple languages, includes film music, pop, ghazals, bhajans, traditional Indian Classical music, folk songs, qawwalis, Rabindra Sangeets and Nazrul Geetis. Her melodious voice will continue to live in the hearts of legions of her fans and admirers; and inspire upcoming singers and students of music. I offer heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.
