The mock Vidhan Sabha session by school students should make the Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP reflect seriously — what are children learning from your theatrics-driven politics? Instead of teaching kids to imitate today’s leaders, it would be far better if teachers guided them to discuss Punjab’s real and serious issues with maturity — discussions that might even inspire the current government to introspect on its own functioning in the Assembly. If the Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan truly wants to connect and educate the new generation about democratic processes, then student unions of Panjab University should be encouraged to organize such mock sessions.
