@spann This was the route my Delta flight from Atlanta just took around the storms to the Birmingham airport…via Columbus, Tuskegee, and Clanton. More than a LITTLE bumpy🤢 up there tonight.

I’ve lived in New York for years and I’ve never seen this before. ⚡️ The sky was completely dark, but the same spot kept flashing over and over again with no thunder that I could hear. My best guess is distant lightning from a storm far enough away that the thunder isn’t reaching the city, but I’ve honestly never watched it happen like this before. Does anyone know if that’s what we’re looking at, or is there another explanation? 👀
