It was a challenge to strike the right balance—how much to lean toward one side or the other. We also had ermhoi participate in the chorus. - Composer Chikara Aoshima This is one of the most iconic tracks in the history of video game music, and I’d like to share a memorable episode involving Aoshima-san. When arranging this piece, Aoshima-san didn’t just listen to the music repeatedly—instead, he first experienced how the track was used in the original Okami game, and how it felt from a player’s perspective. He valued that emotional experience and used it as the foundation for his arrangement. It became one of the most memorable tracks, arranged with deep respect for Okami.
