💥 This is an online briefing circulating about the incident (The incident site was only about four miles from Zhongnanhai) : Incident No.: 2026-06-26-STFS-01 Incident Type: Suspected crash after loss of contact during general aviation local training Date of Incident: June 26, 2026 Time of Incident: 17:30–17:40 Location: Beijing Shifosi General Aviation Airport and the airspace near the East Fifth Ring Road to its west Operating Unit: Dongshi Shuangyue (Beijing) General Aviation Co., Ltd. Aircraft Information: Registration No. B-12PP Flight Personnel: Liu Junhua, a club member conducting a local solo flight I. Flight Overview This was a solo training flight by a club member within the local airspace, with the planned training subject being local takeoffs and landings. At 17:30, the aircraft took off normally from Shifosi Airport. At 17:40, as the crew prepared to return for landing and join the westbound traffic pattern for Runway 18, abnormal control behavior occurred. The aircraft did not properly enter the local traffic pattern. Instead, it continued maintaining a heading of 270 degrees due west and flew beyond the local controlled airspace. Local ADS-B monitoring continued until the aircraft reached the area near Beijing’s East Fifth Ring Road, after which its signal disappeared. The ground control tower then coordinated with regional approach control and Air Force control authorities, making repeated radio calls, but received no response. The aircraft lost contact. II. Key Timeline At 17:30, B-12PP took off from Shifosi Airport for a local solo training flight. At 17:40, it prepared to join the west-side traffic pattern for Runway 18 for approach and landing. The aircraft’s heading became abnormal, continuing on a 270-degree heading and flying westward out of the local airspace. The flight track reached the area near the East Fifth Ring Road, where the ADS-B signal was lost. Approach control and Air Force control were contacted, but the aircraft never responded by radio and was considered missing. III. Preliminary Risk and Problem Analysis Insufficient solo-flight control: The member was flying alone, without instructor monitoring, meaning there was no condition for intervention or emergency handling once a special situation occurred. Severe deviation from the flight pattern: During the approach phase, the aircraft failed to fly according to the standard traffic pattern. Its heading continued to deviate, causing it to cross the boundary and enter sensitive airspace over the city. Complete failure of communication and surveillance: ADS-B and radio communication failed, creating extremely high risk. Serious airspace safety hazard: A low-altitude general aviation aircraft crossed the boundary into the airspace above a built-up urban area, posing major safety risks on the ground. IV. Possible Causes Pending confirmation by official investigation Human factors: Pilot error, spatial disorientation, physical incapacitation, etc. Mechanical failure: Failure of the flight control system, engine, or electrical system, causing the heading to become uncorrectable and communication/surveillance to be interrupted. Equipment failure: Failure of ADS-B or the radio transponder, resulting in loss of signal and inability to establish contact. Some people online also found a photo of a Liu Junhua who is deputy general manager of the Discretionary Mandate and Solutions Department at CITIC Bank’s Asset Management Business Center, and claimed that she was the aircraft’s pilot. The building that was struck, China Zun — also known as CITIC Tower — is precisely where CITIC Group is headquartered. However, others have come forward saying that the pilot was not the Liu Junhua from CITIC. There are also two LinkedIn photos of Liu Junhua from CITIC in the comment section.

The Ghatkopar-Mankhurd demolition drive reveals that is a highly strategic, high-stakes battle over land, local politics, and national security. The primary flashpoint was an 14-acre chunk of prime revenue department land located along the Ghatkopar-Mankhurd Link Road (GMLR), specifically around Annabhau Sathe nagar. For years, land mafias rapidly built out structures while the state was looking away. To bypass local ground-level interference, the Mumbai Suburban Collector’s office deployed used historical satellite mapping to track the physical growth of the slums. By comparing images from 2011 to the present day, they proved that a massive wave of construction occurred post-2011. Over a single 24-hour window, a force of 400 government personnel and 200 heavy labourers swept the site. Supported by a massive fleet of JCBs, excavators, dumpers, and drone surveillance cameras, they completely flattened over 1,200 illegal structures. To prevent the land from being re-occupied, the Public Works Department (PWD) immediately deployed teams behind the bulldozers to construct tin-sheet barricades by nightfall, transitioning into a permanent concrete compound wall within two weeks. Govt sources allege that local land mafias have intentionally built these colonies to settle and shield undocumented Bangladeshi and Rohingya migrants. State intelligence and local police highlighted that these dense, unregulated pockets had transformed into functional hubs for the illegal narcotics trade and cross-border black market network. Good riddance.

A 32-year-old woman was killed after the motorcycle on which she was travelling lost control while trying to avoid a pothole at Ananthanagar near Hebbagodi in Anekal taluk on the outskirts of Bengaluru. The deceased, Medha, a native of Kerala, was working at the Provident Fund office in Electronic City. She was travelling as a pillion rider with her friend Ajay Guru when the accident occurred. According to the information available, a car travelling ahead of the motorcycle suddenly applied brakes while attempting to avoid a pothole. The motorcycle rider reportedly lost control of the vehicle and Medha, who was seated on the pillion, fell onto the road. At the same time, a goods vehicle coming from behind ran over her neck. She suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. The accident triggered anger among local residents, who staged a protest at the spot and blocked the road. Residents alleged that several roads in and around Electronic City were in poor condition and riddled with potholes. They demanded immediate action from the authorities to repair the damaged roads and prevent further accidents. Residents also lit candles and paid tribute to Medha. The incident has once again highlighted concerns over road safety and the condition of roads in the rapidly developing Electronic City-Anekal corridor. Hebbagodi police visited the spot and conducted an inspection. A case has been registered at the Electronic City traffic police station, and further investigation is under way.

Another great example of everyday Chinese efficiency we just experienced. We got the RV stuck (again, see quoted post below 👇) but this time it's completely not our fault: at the end of a one-way road a height restriction barrier had collapsed. It was meant to block trucks over 3m in height but, due to it collapsing, it was standing at maybe 2m50 and our RV is 2m80 so 🤷‍♂️ And since it was a one way road we couldn't turn around and drive against traffic: forbidden and too dangerous. So we called the police. They arrived in exactly 3 minutes which they told us is actually their official KPI for time to intervention. I repeat: the official KPI for the police here in China is that when someone calls, they need to be on-site within a maximum of 3 minutes 🤯 They did two things: first, they immediately called the local village chief, which in the Chinese system is the person accountable to get the height restriction barrier fixed. The guy arrived in less than 2 minutes! Second, they escorted us to drive back on our one-way road, so we could pass by the bike lane on the side which was large enough for our RV and wasn't affected by the barrier (see 3rd video). To summarize: in the space of a mere 5 minutes after calling them, the police had arrived, the guy in charge of fixing the barrier was on-site, and we were safely escorted back on the road. Problem identified, accountability assigned, solution executed. Five minutes.

Manikonda Residents Demand Immediate Road Widening and Traffic Relief Today, residents of Manikonda and surrounding colonies gathered at Marrichettu and conducted a Walkathon up to OU Colony, demanding immediate widening of the Marrichettu–OU Colony Road, which has become severely congested. The traffic situation is particularly unbearable during peak hours. Commuters, pedestrians, senior citizens and school-going children are facing serious difficulties. Most importantly, emergency vehicles such as ambulances and fire tenders are often unable to move freely, creating a serious threat to public safety. The Manikonda Praja AIKYA Vedika, a people’s movement, demands the following immediate measures: Immediate widening of the Marrichettu–OU Colony Road to address the chronic traffic congestion. Immediate opening of alternate routes, including the TRAILS–Road No.10, Panchavati Colony Box Drain-cum-Road, which was constructed nearly two years ago at a cost of about ₹10 crore from taxpayers’ money. This road is a public asset and cannot be kept unused or effectively left for the exclusive benefit or usage of a private builder. Construction of the Shivpuri–Chitrapuri route via Jana Chaitanya Colony to provide an additional alternative corridor and reduce pressure on the existing road network. Shifting of the RTA Office from Shivpuri Colony, as its present location contributes to traffic congestion and inconvenience to residents. Immediate shifting of all electrical poles obstructing the carriageway and footpaths, ensuring safe and unobstructed movement for pedestrians and vehicles. Utilisation of all available setbacks for road-widening purposes, wherever legally permissible, instead of allowing them to be used as commercial parking spaces that further reduce the effective road width. The residents demand that all these measures be implemented within a clearly defined, time-bound action plan, with responsibility fixed on the concerned authorities. The people of Manikonda have been suffering from this traffic crisis for far too long. Road infrastructure must keep pace with population growth and urban development. Public roads and public assets cannot be allowed to remain underutilised while citizens struggle every day. If the authorities fail to initiate concrete action within a reasonable and time-bound period, the residents will be compelled to launch a mass movement, including a Rasta Roko programme, to draw the attention of the government and ensure their legitimate demands are addressed. Shortly, an Action Committee will be formed to take this issue forward, coordinate with the concerned authorities, and pursue the demands until concrete action is initiated. There is a 50-metre stretch of road in Sector 68, Gurugram, that separates around 400 to 500 families at M3M Marina from the new master road GMDA is building between Sectors 68 and 69. Fifty metres. That is all. And it has been blocked. M3M Marina's original main gate was designed to open onto this stretch. The road that would lead straight to the Sector 68-69 dividing road and from there to the Sohna Highway near Badshapur. That gate has never opened. Not once. For four to five years, every resident of Marina has been using a single secondary gate that exits onto the Aklimpur-Teekli village road. A broken, patchy road through a village. Not a backup route. The only route. Now, after years of court disputes and a stay that was finally lifted in early 2026, HSVP cleared the encroachments on the Sector 68-69 road. Ninety percent of the land is free. GMDA tenders are nearly done. The road that thousands of residents had been waiting for is finally being built. For Marina, this should have meant one thing. The main gate could finally open. Instead, Supertech sent people to the connecting stretch. They physically dug up the road. Residents, including school buses carrying children, were turned away. Everyone pushed back toward the same secondary gate. The same broken village road. The same 700 to 800 metres of extra distance every single day. For 400 to 500 families, the solution was 50 metres away. It was dug up in front of them. I visited Marina yesterday with a client. The frustration on the ground is not dramatic. It is tired. These are families that have been asking for this access for years. They were told the road would come. Now a master road is actually being built right next to them. And they still cannot reach it. Supertech owns that land. Legally, it is within its rights. Nobody is questioning the title here. But sit with the picture for a second. This is the same Supertech that is under NCLT insolvency proceedings. The same builder whose allottees have been protesting outside HRERA, demanding refunds for flats that were supposed to be delivered in 2017. A company that cannot return a single rupee to its own buyers. Cannot finish its own construction. Cannot respond to its own regulatory orders. That company still had the resources and the intent to station people at a road and physically dig it up. A builder that cannot refund its own buyers always has the budget to block someone else's road. They all do. That is one constant across Gurugram real estate that never changes. This is not a one-off story either. On Golf Course Extension Road, there are societies where residents pay a private landowner hefty monthly rent just to use his vacant plot as a road to reach their own homes. Because the planned connectivity was never built. The pattern repeats everywhere. Builders launch, buyers pay, and the last 50 metres of access becomes someone else's problem. Sometimes it becomes the resident's monthly bill. The Sector 68-69 master road is being built. The hope was real. For 500 families, it still is. They are just waiting for someone to care about 50 metres.

Kenya’s Engineered Collapse: From Cash Crop “Exporters” to Chronic Importers - Follow the Money This is not a xenophobic post. It is a cold analysis of Kenya’s deliberately diminished agricultural and industrial capacity. On paper, we parade as top exporters of cash crops like horticulture, yet in reality we have been reduced to chronic importers - at the mercy of foreign suppliers who dictate prices at will. Foreign-tied investments in cut flowers enjoy generous government incentives, while genuine agriculture for food security and national sustenance is systematically crippled by laws passed by the very MPs we elect. This makes local farming prohibitively expensive. Today, virtually all onions consumed in Kenya come from Tanzania. The real profiteers are not the Tanzanian farmers but the Kenyan players in the supply chain who thrive on the crisis they help engineer. Whenever a sector collapses, follow the money to identify the beneficiaries - they are usually the architects of the dysfunction. The same logic applies to African football. Who gains the most from our dead domestic leagues, collapsed TV rights deals, massive talent drain, and corporate apathy? Europe - particularly UEFA. Rwanda alone will have spent close to $1 billion on Arsenal and PSG sponsorships by the end of their deals money that Paul Kagame would never invest in local leagues, infrastructure and wages as a colonial western puppet. Africans pay extortionate amounts for decoders and subscriptions to watch European leagues, while local betting companies pour hundreds of millions into sponsoring foreign clubs. It is a vicious, self-reinforcing cycle. Our poverty is extremely lucrative for others. And at the root of it all is our passive participation in politics. There is no reason in this day and age to still sit through state-sponsored funerals, listening to politicians deliver pedestrian remarks for clout. We should demand townhall meetings where leaders face sharp, intellectual questioning from citizens - not empty chants and choruses like Tibim and Tialala. This is the evolution of politics we must embrace. Refuse to inherit the stupidity, complacency, and warped worldview of the boomers, Gen X, and millennials. The youth have the tools and the numbers to decisively influence the trajectory of this country. The time for passive spectatorship is over.

One of the things that frustrates us the most is crappy "accessible" parking. We went to the local Rexall Drugstore to get a prescription and the curb ramps to get on the sidewalk were at the front or side of the accessible parking spots. That means as soon as a vehicle parks there, someone with a wheelchair or walker can't get on or off the sidewalk. You can be stuck there waiting until they come back from shopping and move their car. Stuff like this gets stressful. You'd think common sense would be to place access ramps where they wouldn't be blocked, but often developers lack this. A much better experience was at the local Walmart. It must be newer as the accessible parking had access aisles between the spots, which meant we could drop the ramp and unload. Most places built before 2020 don't have stalls wide enough for a wheelchair at the bottom of a vehicle ramp so we often park far from the door and take 2 stalls. The other bonus at Walmart, a wide barrier free entrance. There were no curb ramps to be blocked. Video description for inclusivity: a clip of Chesnyy holding a paper bag as she stands on a sidewalk. The ramp to get off the sidewalk is at the front of a parking stall and blocked by the car. Text reads: crappy accessible parking spot. The scene changes to Chesnyy standing beside an accessible van with the ramp dropped into an access aisle. She carries her leash and loads herself into the van Text reads: The good spot.

May this young man's Soul Rest in Peace. The carnage continues due to unprecedented levels of greed, dereliction of duty, and lack of accountability. The funds are actually there and have been provided over the past decade. The Ministry of Finance Ministry of Finance has released about UGX 100 Billion since 2019 for a Department of Government whose main responsibility and objective should be prevention of road crashes. These funds have been spent on activities with very minimal impact on road safety. This information has been shared with IGG, Office of the Auditor General Uganda, Criminal Investigations Directorate-UPF. How do you explained the death of a young man in a fatal road crash that caused the incineration of the vehicle which he was driving? He must have been driving in one of the best motor vehicles in this country given the wealth of his family. He was driving a motor vehicle which probably had good safety features on a smooth road without pot holes. It is easy to draw conclusions like he was speeding, he was fatigued, he lost control of his motor vehicle, he made errors, e.t.c. Whereas all that may be true, did he deserve to die in such a gruesome way for those errors in judgement? The answer is a BIG NO. The truth is government failed him in so many ways. At the center of modern day road safety management is recognition that errors made by road users (drivers, motorcyclists, cyclist and pedestrians) MUST NOT lead to their demise. Here is a situation he found himself in: Concrete Barriers on a road that encourages high speed. Who has the onus to remove this hazard? Government. I could have perished in the same circumstances a few years back before the completion of the KEE on the way to the Airport. It was a rainy early morning at about 5:00am and I drove through barriers which were made of plastic. So why were these not made of plastic? Was there a provision for lighting on that section? If not, it should have been there. This is what we mean when we say roads should be forgiving. Apart from their design, road sides are the major reference here. The road should have forgiven him for this error if it had plastic reflective barriers. These kind of barriers would have caught his attention and he would have stopped his car instead of killing him. Were the traffic lights functional? Why was there no hazard signage or warning of any sort since there were barriers in middle of the road? This section of the road is built as an expressway and as such encourages speeding especially at any time beyond midnight. There are no traffic calming measures in place yet it is freely used by pedestrians and Boda-Bodaz like any other city road. Roads are supposed to be designed and constructed bearing in mind the activities that take place around them (Land Use). Interventions to control speed must be implemented if there is a high volume of different road users. They would have got his attention and he would not have died. A glaring example of contractors that do not care about road safety is on the section of Kampala-Masaka in the swampy section of Lwera. The Concrete Barriers are there and in places where they are not, there is nothing preventing a motor vehicle falling off into the swamp. Not even a rope. UNTIL THE DAY WHEN THE LEADERSHIP OF THIS COUNTRY ACCEPTS THAT ROAD CRASHES ARE PREVENTABLE AND PARLIAMENT STARTS DEMANDING ACCOUNTABILTY ON ROAD SAFETY, THIS CARNAGE WILL CONTINUE. ACCEPTING THERE IS A PROBLEM IS THE FIRST STEP TO SOLVING IT OR MANAGING IT. TOMORROW IT MIGHT BE ME OR YOU. LETS STOP PAYING LIP SERVICE TO UGANDANS ESPECIALLY ALL THOSE FAMILIES THAT LOSE LOVED ONES IN THIS MESS OF GREED AND LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY.
