Before a 190,000-pound bridge can be lifted into place on active Metro-North tracks over the course of 48 hours, it has to get to Harlem first. The legends surrounding historical race relations in the U.S. need to be subjected to examination and - if appropriate - revision. Take this incident as an example for why that is needed. Via Norwood News (link to full article in comment): After Alex O’Keefe, the award-winning screenwriter of Hulu’s “The Bear,” who is black, posted on social media that he was allegedly arrested following a complaint made by a white woman about the way he was seated while aboard a Metro North train to Connecticut on Sept. 18, the MTA Police Department (MTAPD) provided an update on the incident, saying “the passenger” [O’Keefe] was handcuffed and removed from the Metro North Train at the Fordham Metro-North station in The Bronx but was not arrested. MTA police said that at around 10.25 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, MTAPD officers responded to a report of “a disorderly passenger” on Train #1518 at Fordham Metro-North station in The Bronx. They did not name O’Keefe and said the train was en route at the time from Grand Central Terminal to New Haven, when a conductor reported “a passenger occupying two seats had refused to remove his feet from one of the seats.” They said an investigation, enhanced by body-worn cameras and on-board security camera video, revealed a 31-year-old male was observed with both legs stretched across an adjacent seat and that when MTAPD officers boarded, he “refused police direction to exit [the train].” They said officers told the passenger to disembark the train and step onto the platform where he was allegedly informed he would be able to board the next train. When its time to FLEE. From Saint Libory. I was working to assume my preferred position from the north when my backroad turned into a muddy corn field access road. I was in the path of the fast moving, likely violent tornado. I stopped for about a minute to observe. No right to left no left to right. I could attempt to continue north knowing this...but it was too risky. What if the road got worse and I ended up stuck or trapped. I didn't know what was ahead and didnt have full confidence, given the look of the tornado, I bailed back south to let it cross infront of me. This is 6 minutes of video condensed into 20 seconds.
