@letsreplanet @Hiddemhigh A picture says more...

@letsreplanet @Hiddemhigh The big lie - 'selective breeding is the same as genome engineering.' Selective breeding cannot be compared to the techniques utilised in genetic engineering. SB selects for pre-existing characteristics and enhances them whereas synthetic biology seeks to alter complete function.

@letsreplanet @Hiddemhigh If we’re to feed 11 billion people(yes, that’s where the numbers are going) then we’re going to need every tool in the box and more. There is a direct link between food supply and migration/conflict. Get real everyone. This is where we’re headed.

@letsreplanet @Hiddemhigh Yeh, reducing natural gene variability further making disease resistance lower over the longer term. Madness.

@letsreplanet @Hiddemhigh Great video and comms. @Hiddemhigh. Dreadful message, we don't need CRISP-R in EU, we need to reduce the damage caused by agro-toxins we are using in agriculture which are killing soils, insects, worms and bacteria, and killing us. GMOs add resistance to agrotoxins!! Bad!
