Checking in with Chef Ibrahim from our DB Kitchen in Gaza. Each of these big pots of rice feed 185 meals and here they are doing 580 pots each day. But we can do more! With approval from Israel to bring in more food and equipment and fuel, and safe routes to reach our kitchens…I know World Central Kitchen we can scale up to 1 million meals daily. Food is a universal human right and these Palestinian families deserve to eat with dignity…

📢Update from our newest Gaza Field Kitchen! Shadi is at WCK’s Zaytoun Kitchen in North Gaza, the latest addition to our network of Field Kitchens, community kitchens, restaurant partners, and bakeries. 🍗🥩 Today—for the first time in 8 months—we’re cooking meat in our Gaza kitchens! Our World Central Kitchen team was full of joy preparing and delivering more than 330,000 meals of chicken and beef with vegetables—dishes they know families in Gaza have been craving. This is more than food. It's dignity. It's comfort. It's humanity. It's Palestinians serving Palestinians. Let’s keep going. #ChefsForGaza

Today I visited many kitchens of World Central Kitchen in Gaza. This one is in Rafah! This one is with our great partner Anera doing thousands of meals a day…plus delivering our food kits to thousands of families a day. Situation in the south is tense with thousands leaving in temporary tent “cities” and the frontlines less than 6 km but real crisis is in the north where people are leaving in terrible conditions, surrounded by fighting, no water and no food and barely enough working hospitals….#ChefsForGaza but more humanitarian aid must be coming in, We can not stop helping the people of Gaza…WCK and partners we’ve already done and deliver 12 million meals…

Palestinians are feeding Palestinians—neighbors cooking for neighbors, bakers working nonstop to make fresh pitas, and chefs leading big and small kitchens in Gaza. With access to the right supplies, WCK teams and partners can prepare 1 million meals a day. No one should go hungry in Gaza. #ChefsForGaza

Update from Gaza 🎥 WCK’s Shadi is in our Deir al-Balah kitchen where our team is cooking tens of thousands of meals to distribute to displaced Palestinians in central and southern Gaza. As more of our humanitarian aid trucks arrive with supplies, we are scaling efforts here to cook 70,000 meals daily. #ChefsForGaza

After many weeks, World Central Kitchen teams are once again serving warm meals and fresh bread in Gaza. Our mobile bakery is baking again and you can see what it means to people...to eat, to feel seen. But these meals are not yet enough. We need sustained aid access. Many families are still hungry. WCK is built to reach them, to meet the need….and we've shown that since the beginning of the war in Gaza. With both our large field kitchens and our community kitchens, we can feed many, many families, if we can safely get ingredients to our teams.

One million hot meals a day in Gaza are only possible because of the people who cook them: Palestinians feeding Palestinians. Hundreds of local team members are feeding their neighbors. They know why every meal matters to families struggling to survive in some of the worst conditions in the world. Their work is only possible because of the support of the global World Central Kitchen community…supporters who believe in the power of food to change the world. We are not finished. We will keep cooking more. Wherever there’s a fight so hungry people can eat, we will be there. In Gaza and beyond. #ChefsForGaza

Gaza is home to around 2 million people. I’m proud to say our local World Central Kitchen team is now serving 1 million meals each and every day. It’s only possible because of the hard work, the heart, and the courage of our teams and partners in Gaza. Palestinians feeding Palestinians.

.World Central Kitchen teams have now been able to reach north in Gaza with meals! Sam Bloch with World Health Organization (WHO) UNICEF UN Humanitarian has been for the last few days getting to hospitals in Gaza City…here the conditions are dire. There is desperate need for food &water in hospitals, and for everyone…is one thing getting food into Rafah in the south but in northern Gaza is much harder. Incredible work the WCK team & all these partners are doing everyday, we will keep expanding more kitchens, bringing more meals to reach everyone we possibly can. #ChefsForGaza

There are four World Central Kitchen warehouses in Jordan filled with food for the people of Gaza….rice, oil, flour, vegetables…over 100 trucks loaded and ready to arrive to the border crossing in less than an hour. We have hundreds more trucks ready to bring cooking supplies and more food, but still the government of Israel is not permitting us to enter with aid. We have been cooking and feeding in Gaza at a huge scale for more than 19 months. More than 130 million meals! For months, Israel has not allowed any aid to enter…we have been forced to shut down of our community kitchens and bakeries. We have no food left…but we are ready at any moment to start cooking again. Many innocent families are desperate to eat. Let us feed the people of Gaza!

After more than 12 weeks without food reaching our field kitchens, the first World Central Kitchen aid trucks have finally arrived in Gaza. Our teams are back to cooking for families who’ve gone far too long without a warm meal. We served almost 10,000 meals today. But let’s be clear: one delivery is not enough. People need food every day. We cannot stop and start. We need sustained, reliable access to feed communities safely, with dignity, every single day. #ChefsForGaza

The stoves are on at WCK’s first Field Kitchen in northern Gaza! Shadi is in Beit Lahia, where cooks are preparing the first batches of stew and rice at our newest kitchen. This facility is the fourth WCK Field Kitchen operating in Gaza and joins our restaurant partners in the north to serve thousands more meals daily to Palestinians returning home in this region. #ChefsForGaza

#Gaza is at a breaking point. I've just seen it myself. World Food Programme operates in conflict zones all over the world. Families in Gaza are starving—and we know how to deliver at scale. We must revive our network of 200+ food distribution points, community kitchens & bakeries ASAP.
