While here was not destruction, indirectly these people has lost the jobs or the way of making a living because Acapulco is the economic motor of all the state of Guerrero..we are on our way distributing 5k food boxes a day…around 50k meals on top of the over 100k hot meals we do #ChefsForMexico

Today I visited many kitchens of World Central Kitchen in Gaza. This one is in Rafah! This one is with our great partner Anera doing thousands of meals a day…plus delivering our food kits to thousands of families a day. Situation in the south is tense with thousands leaving in temporary tent “cities” and the frontlines less than 6 km but real crisis is in the north where people are leaving in terrible conditions, surrounded by fighting, no water and no food and barely enough working hospitals….#ChefsForGaza but more humanitarian aid must be coming in, We can not stop helping the people of Gaza…WCK and partners we’ve already done and deliver 12 million meals…

The team at WCK’s Field Kitchen in Mayotte wrapped up production last week after preparing more than 580,000 hot meals for communities impacted by Cyclone Chido. With the support of these local chefs and community leaders, we were able to focus our efforts on providing traditional dishes that brought comfort to families in need. Beyond the food cooked at our kitchen, we also worked with restaurant partners to serve a total of 4 million meals. We are so proud of this staff, many of whom were directly affected by the storm, and their dedication to showing up every day to support their neighbors. #ChefsForMayotte

For two weeks, The Sameer Project shifted to rice and burgul meals due to the lack of funds. Support here: The families in the camps we distribute in were really upset that we stopped meat / chicken meals, so we decided to be innovative and came up with more affordable dishes packed with protein! Our incredible Chef Majid came up with nutrition filled meals like this one that they called Thai Chicken, which includes onion, black pepper, mushrooms, corn and carrots. Wholesome and filling meals for only $3! Right now, The Sameer Project kitchen is making around 1,600 meals per day for four days a week. We used to cook 7 days a week but have now reduced the days due to the decrease in funding. We need your help to go back to 3,000 meals for 7 days a week to support Palestinians in Gaza!
