We know that the nationalities crossing the Channel are 24 times more likely to wind up in prison than average. This trip is an embarrassment. Starmer jetted off and now the Albanian Prime Minister has made clear that there will be no UK return hubs in Albania. So, what was the point of this entire visit? Under the Conservatives, we already struck a real returns deal and a law enforcement deal with Albania - and they worked. Small boat arrivals from Albania dropped by over 90%. Now Labour are dishonestly insinuating it’s down to them. One of the first acts of this Labour government was to scrap the Rwanda scheme before it started - the kind of deterrent the National Crime Agency said was essential. This experienced French Officer is right to say the Labour govt’s plan will make no difference whatsoever Since their weak 17 in, one out deal came into force, around 2,000 people have crossed the Channel illegally – clearly the deal is no deterrent at all. I have been saying for weeks that this deal will not work. How would allowing 94% of illegal immigrants to stay have any deterrent effect at all? The comments from the French policeman are the final nail in the coffin. He also says, quite rightly, that if an illegal immigrant is returned to France, they will just try again.

So apparently, the Britannia Hotel in Canary Wharf was "NEVER" going to house illegal immigrants and that this was "MISINFORMATION." This is a LIE. They did the same in Swansea. This small, remote wildlife trail yielded some amazing footage of wolves and other creatures over the past year this past winter (January to May). This trail is used by both the Mithrandir Pack (hence the name of the trail) and the Nashata Pack. Both packs are in this video, and are the primary reason we have a camera here—the other neat footage of other wildlife is just a bonus! We have put cameras on many small trails like this in hopes that they are used by wolves so we can get good observations. Often we put cameras out and they are total duds or just so-so. But every once in a while, we find a gem…and this is a gem in our minds. Also, this camera was from last winter…but you will notice the scenery hardly looks like a Minnesota winter. Thats because we basically did not have winter last year. Last year was the mildest winter on record for the Voyageurs area, and we had little snow cover for most of the winter and temps were regularly above freezing. Very odd times but made getting around the woods pretty nice!
