The EFF has been accused by fools of supporting illegal immigration, which is nonsense. The position of the EFF has been clear. Illegal immigrants must be documented, in order to ensure that their presence is known and are easily traceable, if needs be. It is in the interest of national security to do so. Illegal immigrants are here, they keep coming, and will keep coming regardless of threats of deportations because borders are porous. Home Affairs has no capacity and competence to stop illegal immigration as proven by the Sky News footage attached. The solution to combat illegal immigration, which we all oppose, is to document these people. Documentation does not mean granting citizenship nor permanent residency status, because I know that is what xenophobic morons will think. Grant them temporary and renewable permits, with conditions.

Make it more attractive to live outside of America than it is to live in America illegally. - Massive fines and imprisonment of employers who break the law by employing illegal immigrants. - Remove healthcare and other benefits from illegal immigrants for anything except life threatening emergencies. - Pay them $5k - $10k if they leave voluntarily. It costs $17k to force deport. - Fix legal immigration so we can bring in legal immigrants we need for jobs - Tone down the rhetoric. Tone down the emphasis on violent criminals.
