In 2014 Bill Maher was asked to give the commencement speech at Berkeley. After he accepted, he had Ben Affleck on his show and the two got into a heated argument about Islam. Maher essentially said that Islam is not a religion of peace and Affleck started calling him a racist. I've posted that video before. Affleck was quite agitated. He couldn't contain his suicidal empathy. After the show with Affleck, students at Berkeley started a petition to have Maher removed as the commencement speaker. Ultimately the university sided with Maher and he gave the speech. Here's Maher getting into it with very talkative and persistent Palestinian author Rula Jebreal before he gave the speech. She, like the Berkeley students, was arguing that Maher should not be able to give the commencement speech because of his previous comments about Islam.

As Tucker Carlson has a random felon on his show this evening to make ridiculous allegations against Barack Obama, those on the left are melting down because Ari Melber had Bill Maher on his show. I’m just so sick of watching others constantly on the attack because, god forbid, a guy talks to someone with perhaps a countering opinion. Bill Maher and Ari Melber are decent humans, who may not agree on everything and it’s healthy to hear them debate. Relax a bit!

That’s very good.” The idea leaped out of Sheen’s head when Maher mentioned how “a crazy percentage” of crime in American cities is actually committed by only about 600 people per city. To this, Sheen replied: “So if you’re able to build statistics from that, you clearly know who the f*ck they are. So why not just take those 600 people and build a special place for them? Adam Carolla just exposed the entire Democrat playbook right in front of Bill Maher — and Maher clearly didn’t like what he was hearing. Carolla broke down how, no matter what Trump accomplishes, the Democrats’ only cudgel against him is chaos and agitation. Maher tried to flip the script, but Carolla held his ground. CAROLLA: “I think ultimately, you know, people care about gas prices and egg prices and, you know, stability and, you know, their paycheck and affordability and like, basic stuff, you know, can you afford a house and stuff like that?” “And I think if, if Trump comes through with all that stuff, then I think, most of America will sort of be okay with it.” “I don’t think the Democrats are going to be okay with it, because they’re going to sort of agitate. And I think essentially the plan is chaos and agitation.” “And then a sort of a ‘don’t you want this to stop?’” Maher looked bewildered.
