@RepDavid No, we have a spending crisis. The government spends twice as much as it did on 9/11. Do you think we are getting our money's worth? And you want to give them MORE money?

The reason for that increase is because Social Security and Medicare has grown very large due to the Baby Boomer Generation reaching older ages, and Defense spending increasing significantly after 9/11 to protect from another 9/11. Additionally interest on debt has grown. These are the three main cause for the increase. It's not like we are just deciding to spend more money on more things (we've added things and have taken things away). What's the solution? DOGE isn't going to fix the problem unless they cut Social Security and Medicare. How about we bring in more revenue from the ultra wealthy billionaires?
