This version of the worm-inspired robot has a flexible outer mesh that can continuously change shape. That’s movie-level weird. The girl is walking this robot dog on a leash at the AI for Good Summit in Geneva. Its a real personal humanoid robot. This can move from four legs to resembling a person. It can walk and climb, but it also seems able to follow you around and help you, like a drone. Since all the home robots are one body, many of them get stuck on stairs and slopes. The T1 avoids this by being able to fold from a standing figure into a low, four-legged shape. It can climb up and down 18 centimeter steps and 35 degree slopes both inside and outside in dog mode. In human mode, it quietly follows your movements, standing by your side like a friend. So now one machine can do both smooth and rough surfaces, and the odd space in between. The PrimeBOT calls it the T1 . You can add your own behaviors on top of it to make it a robot . Height 80 cm. It will fit in a back pack. Not for the laboratory or the factory, but for personal use.

This work makes a humanoid robot do simple parkour moves by looking with a depth camera and choosing the right move on the fly. The big deal is that it turns lots of small human moves into long, real-time robot behavior, without hand-coding every transition or retraining for each new course. A humanoid robot is usually good at steady walking, but it often fails when it has to do fast moves like jumping up, vaulting, or rolling, and then keep going to the next obstacle. The hard part is that you cannot easily collect training data for every possible obstacle shape, distance, and mistake, so robots end up learning a few moves that only work in a narrow setup. This work starts from short clips of real human parkour moves, like stepping over, vaulting, climbing, and rolling. It uses motion matching, which is basically a smart “pick the next clip that fits best right now” search, to stitch those short clips into a long, smooth plan that looks like a human doing a whole course. Then it trains a controller with reinforcement learning (RL), which means the robot learns by trial and error to copy that plan while staying balanced and not falling. After training separate expert controllers for different moves, it compresses them into 1 controller that uses only onboard depth sensing and a simple “go this fast in this direction” command. In real tests on a Unitree G1 humanoid, it can clear multiple obstacles in a row, adapt when obstacles get moved, and climb a wall up to 1.25m.

everyone is using GPT-6 Astra to make games... i had it build me a robot prototyper i type what robot i want, and it builds the whole thing and tells me how to make it real one prompt: "prototype me a full Microduck" it designed every part, checked nothing crashes into itself when it moves, did the motor maths so the thing can actually stand up, and handed me the parts list with prices and the step by step assembly not a render, a robot i can build this weekend every piece is ready to send straight to a 3D printer, and the motors and screws come with prices and where to buy them took me 45 minutes and 5 prompts to build (burnt all my limits) process below
