Well, all that connection with the arms stuff is a bit of a nonsense. It may be the only way for some players to swing who have long arms and a short body; but, it's not happening for most players

Nah, connection isn’t nonsense for most players. It’s just keeping the arms and body working as one unit so the clubface stays square and the swing doesn’t fall apart under pressure. Works for average builds too long-arm short-body guys aren’t the only ones who benefit.

Right elbow rotation takes care of that

That’s a clean way to look at it right elbow rotation really does keep everything connected and the face under control. Love how simple and effective that feel can be. Nice insight!

Yes, also, if you look at the Christy O'connor Snr swing clinic- which he filmed when he was 70- would be a 105, if he was alive today- you will see that when he looks up at the target his right elbow drops by his right side. He uses his right foot to look above the target; and..

Christy O’Connor at 70 still moving like that is impressive. The right elbow dropping as he looks up, driven by the right foot… that’s a nice visual. I’ll have to check that clinic out.

Yes, it may be that he has the best swing to learn from. Unfortunately, he was not a very good putter. They used to call him wristy Christ because his putting stroke was so wristy, even left below right. He actually turned down 5 Masters invites. Maybe it was the greens

Interesting. Great swing but the wristy putting probably cost him. Turning down five Masters invites is wild maybe those greens just weren’t his thing.
