on how #jungwon started writing dear me: 😺 i once added a moon emoji to my wv profile, and that was actually from back when I was working on dear me. 😺 while i was out taking walks, i spent a lot of time looking up at the moon. 😺 the crescent moon caught my eye. sometimes it looked like it was smiling, and other times it looked like it was crying. but when I tried to zoom in to take a photo, it actually looked like a full moon. 😺 it made me realize that everything really depends on how you choose to give it meaning. that’s how i started writing the lyrics for dear me.

260225 stationhead listening party 🐰: the parts i paid especially close attention to while writing lyrics (for ‘what it is’) were mostly jeno’s parts.(laughs) yes, many of the lyrics are for jeno’s parts, and there were many areas where i tried to add a bit of a visual element to them, so please listen closely to jeno’s parts. there are also very sincere lyrics in the chorus, and the last chorus really explodes emotionally, so i hope you enjoy it. jeno, which part of the lyrics did you like the most? 🐶: i was really surprised that jaemin participated in writing the lyrics, and honestly, i liked all of it. but my favorite line is ‘catching my breath in the fast tempo, i like you.’ it’s a really fast part, and it still sticks with me.

An army shared their story of how Blue & Grey by Taehyung gave them strength to go on! 👤 The tattoo says ‘where's my angel?’, which is the first line of the song Blue and Grey by BTS. And the reason why I got it is because I was going through a mental breakdown. And then at 4 in the morning, I was listening to BTS, and this is like three weeks into me being a fan of BTS. Then I read the lyrics, and it was the first time I ever heard the song ever in life. And then I read the lyrics, and then this lyric really stuck out to me, so I put it on my chest, under my collarbone. So that's what my tattoo says, it's just a lyric from Blue and Grey because that song means a lot to me. So thank you, Mr. Kim Taehyung, for writing it, because you really saved my life with that one. So I've been good. ( Taehyung’s songs and lyrics have given so many of us comfort. Thank you so much.

I was 18 when I wrote Foolish Games. It was heavily influenced by the writing of Pablo Neruda and Leonard Cohen. I wanted to write lyrics that you could see in your head- like stepping into a movie. For the video, I worked with long-time collaborator Matthew Rolston- and drew from imagery that had to do with being bridled, owned, tamed, and a desire to be free of the constraints of the male gaze. Did this song resonate with you?

It's like something he had told me before. Tul : We went on a trip together. He loved that trip because it was very comfortable and relaxing. We stayed on a cruise for a week. He said that every morning when he woke up, he’d open the curtains, the sunlight would fall on my face, and he’d just lie there looking at me. 🗣️: Awwwwwww Tul : I was like, Really? That much? I wondered if I looked ugly while sleeping, what kind of position I was sleeping in. But he said that’s the beauty of life. It may be imperfect, but it’s enough to make us happy with what’s right in front of us. 🗣️: Awwwwww, that gives me goosebumps. 🗣️: Those are all trips you’ve taken together, right? Tul : Yeah, we once missed a train together. And another time, it rained and we didn’t have an umbrella. In the end, it felt just like a scene from a series, we covered ourselves with a shirt/jacket and ran together. Something like that. It felt like he was revisiting those memories, and I was really touched. 🗣️: That’s so sweet. He remembers all those little details and turned it into a song for you. Tul : Yeah. But I can’t write lyrics like that. I might only be able to write a poem 😄
