This is such a cool concept and has an amazing atmosphere ngl, but honestly im glad that we got the re4 we ended up with instead

it’s amazing that a year and a half later the game came out and had almost none of these elements. if a developer tried to change that much now, the game would be delayed for 3 or 4 years or just get cancelled

Biohazard 4 Prototype (TGS 2002)

Just realized its not even in 3rd person just the same perspective as pre-RE4 gameplay

I still think a lot about this, specially lately. The atmosphere was phenomenal, and they always did really good set pieces with the fixed camera... wish we could've gotten this!

Not the E3 demo, they used bits of footage of this build and earlier ones for the E3 trailer, but it was never playable at E3.

I would do anything for them to at least finish this

its cool how much their re1 remake formula was used here in this demo the fixed camera angles and sound effects are straight from the remake

I really liked this supernatural take on the series. While it doesn't really feel like Resident Evil due to the lack of zombies, they could've easily made a new IP from it.

Looks fine but not that different than any other horror game at the time

I'm happy they sort of reused the hallucinations and dolls in RE8's Beneviento House

I wish the final version had that animations for the jacket, it looks very cool in motion

i feel sorry for the mf who saw this demo and wanted to play it and the game ended up being very very different

If it kept the horror like here it would've actually made sense to call it one of the best games ever made.

That really does look like great, next-gen survival horror. I love the RE4 we got and all but man, I wish they made this too.
