When astronauts return to Earth, their spacecraft hits the atmosphere at 17,500 mph, facing temperatures up to 3,000°F. So why doesn't it melt? Modern spacecraft rely on advanced heat shields covered in silica-based materials, a technology pioneered by the Space Shuttle. These thermal tiles are made of over 90% trapped air, and because air is a terrible heat conductor, the outside can face a firestorm while the inside stays safely cool. How does a spacecraft traveling 17,500 MPH catch a planet moving through space at 66,600 MPH...while also chasing the sun at 514,000 MPH? It is mathematically and physically impossible. No human has ever left Earth's atmosphere. They would be left behind in the void immediately, with no way of catching up. The Guinness Book of World Records lists the absolute fastest human flight at 4,520 MPH. Read that again. NASA has the nerve to claim their shuttles reach 17,500 MPH to break through Earth's atmosphere. That's ~10x faster than a speeding sniper rifle bullet. Have you seen how slow the rockets travel after takeoff? This is kindergarten stuff, folks! Their fairytale breaks down on these numbers alone. They are LYING to us. [h/t clint.mallon on IG]

"Welcome home!": New footage shows a recovery team reaching the Artemis II crew and opening the door after they splashed down off the coast of California on Friday, marking the end of their historic moon mission. Cheers followed as soon as the astronauts appeared to be OK. The astronauts were met with a NASA and a U.S. military team that assisted them out of the spacecraft in open water and transported them via helicopter to the USS John P. Murtha for medical checks.

Trump told astronauts he signed an executive order to create a U.S. Space Academy that will be "at the same level" as the rest of the United States' military academies. "I didn't realize that when I announced it, nobody knew about it, and the room went sort of crazy. They liked it," Trump said.
