Returning to full stack Starship. Never going to get bored by huge mechanical chopsticks picking up a large Ship and planting it on the booster. PS They will still need to do another short destack to arm the FTS, but that is usually very close to the launch date.

Now they want to do this just when El Niño is about to hit the city. It will get ruined, and then another tender to do the same job will be readvertised.

The narrative pushed by corporate-owned media outlets like CBS, BBC, and ABC is that Ukraine is very close to winning, and we just need to buy more weapons for them. What was your reaction to the Starship splashdown yesterday? Here is Ellie in Space 🚀💫 and my live reactions … unreal and so kept expecting to see it explode and got annoyed when they went to another screen … I wanted to see the ship floating! Kudos to the drone crew for braving the potential kaboom which never came to get amazing up-close live views!

STATIC FIRE! Ship 37 fires up in what should be the final SF ahead of Flight 10. Elon Musk noted that they are tracking mid-August for launch. They will need to dismantle the mods to Pad 1 before they can full-stack B16 and S37.

While we wait for SpaceX to de-stack Ship 40 and roll back booster 20 for engine swaps and other checks following yesterdays abort right at engine ignition, I thought I’d share my close encounter of Ship 40 as it rolled to the launch site a few days ago. If you’ve never been to Starbase for a launch, you may not know just how close you can be to the largest rocket in history just hours before it launches … there is nothing else like this anywhere in the world! Waiting for a new launch date … currently NET 20 July, but this could and likely will change so watch for the official SpaceX announcement.

The same tower that stacks the rocket catches it directly after landing and places it straight back on the launch mount in seconds. Booster flight time back to pad: ~5–6 minutes. Refueling + stacking Starship on top: ~30–40 minutes. → In principle, the entire stack could refly every 1–2 hours. Next milestone: catch the Starship upper stage the same way. This extreme rapid reuse is the only path to drastically lower the cost per ton to Mars.
