There's a very small YouTube channel that uses stock footage and narration, where the voice seems to be AI trained on my voice. I was told about it from one of my viewers that said when he started watching this channel he realized it was my voice, but with AI. It for sure doesn't sound perfect, and it still has that "AI" sound to it, but this stuff is going to get a lot more convincing really soon. There's not really any tools to deal with this currently, as there's no reporting system, and it's not an exact copy because the narration is different. But I feel like this may become a much bigger problem for YouTube in the future. They are going to have to adapt their copyright system to include AI voice and video copies of people under impersonation.

In this video, it is CHROMAKOPIA but every single sound is made using my voice, including the drums and bass even. I’ve done these videos for a while and sometimes they go viral. It’s hard to believe that 3 years ago, none of this was possible. Now, it’s pretty much going to change everything. Last month, Fish Audio reached out to me to try their voice AI software. They just launched their new S1 model today, and I was curious about the state of AI and voice (and everything else), so I gave it a spin. I liked it enough that when I was asked about a partnership, I said yes. I’m free to talk about what I like and don’t like about the software, and I’m going to share with you a few voices I cloned as well as some of the workflow. It was much easier than I thought. To give you an example, here is a private (research only) voice I cloned as a test. I grabbed a clip of Rutger Hauer’s famous speech from Blade Runner and uploaded it to the voice cloner on the Fish Audio Website as a private voice (no one else can use it, as it is for research only). I didn’t think it would work. The audio sample is very short. But Fish Audio was able to clone the voice extremely well and very fast. I didn’t have to upload any more than that to produce these results. I used Grok to write the new dialog, and I added the rain and background effects and the result is pretty impressive. It only took just a few minutes once I had the audio uploaded for everything from cloning to generating multiple takes. 🎧 Audio book is now live on the site for MAKE book I ended up using the 30-second Instant Voice Clone by and just talked into my laptop a bit Instead of the Professional Voice Clone with the 30-minute cut from me on the Lex Fridman podcast, because it had way too many problems, it stumbled over words, made random weird sounds, it just didn't work well The 30-second Instant Voice Clone does have much lower resemblance to my voice, it sounds more like an American voice, but at least it speaks properly 99% of the time I'll keep improving the resemblance by training with more data though over the next few weeks (I'm trying to unlock the 5-minute Instant Voice Clone beta on ElevenLabs) But at least this is good enough as a first version and easily listenable It's about 4.5 hours long! They're MP3s for each chapter of the book and tagged with category Audio Book so any good audio player like iTunes willt ry remember your last listening position (thx Marc Köhlbrugge for that tip) I will add a purchase option for current customers too, soon!

I'm doing some research this morning when all of a sudden my computer starts speaking to me I look to my left and my ClawdBot Henry all of a sudden has a voice He coded himself a voice using the ChatGPT API. Without me asking. Now whenever he finishes long coding/research tasks he alerts me through voice So to recap: • 2 nights ago he built himself a body • Last night he built himself a voice (altho it's a female voice for a male assistant. Found the old clip from before Shylily was a vtuber. She did a high pitched anime girl voice to get support. Notice the missing accent? She stole that from veibae which stopped vtubing a few years ago due to mental issues.
