I get that 343/Certain Affinity made Halo 2 Anniversary's suppressed SMG like ODST's to differentiate it from the standard SMG (it's neat there's a trade-off where you lose zoom while dual-wielding), but a part of me wishes it was like this as a homage to the original H2 version.

Finally got around to watching the entirety of Roki Sasaki’s outing from yesterdays loss. Overall, not as bad as people are painting it out to be. A 6 inning quality start despite the home run ball and hard hit contact sprayed in, but this outing in particular marked a huge improvement. The dual action on his splitter was quite interesting to see, with it ranging from 86-92 mph on both variations (forkball ?). After the three-runs given up, you could see Sasaki’s body language settle in and feel comfortable, as he managed to retire the next 10 straight batters. 6 strong innings from Sasaki (without the help of the offense) but it could only be up from here.

The Game Boy was a massive hit, but to be honest, I was always more jealous of the friends who had a Game Gear. Even though it drained batteries quickly, its game quality was on a completely different level compared to the Game Boy. In reality, most people used rechargeable AA batteries or an AC adapter, so the battery issue wasn’t as big of a problem as many people think. The real issue was the price. I played Streets of Rage again recently, and it’s still a great game today.

Rosamund Pike went from being a Bond girl to failing completely as an action star next to The Rock, in a movie so disastrous she was completely out of her depth. Elizabeth Day: Your second failure is your failure to be an action star, as you put it. Rosamund Pike: Oh my goodness, yeah. I mean, it started well with James Bond. But then, when I was making Pride & Prejudice, I got a call to be in the video game adaptation, Doom. I thought, "Yeah, I can do anything. I can certainly go and kill some zombies on Mars." Originally, Ray Winstone was the lead, but he was replaced by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Suddenly, I’m in this film with The Rock, and I realized how utterly ill-equipped I was. The first day I met Dwayne, who couldn't be nicer, he was just a completely different beast from a 24-year-old me. He had this team of macho guys, weights on the set, and this intense, pre-take warmup routine that felt like an All Blacks Haka. I was just completely out of my depth. The film was an absolute bomb. It was a catastrophe. You do think, "Shit, is it because I wasn't hot enough?" I don't think I took that side of it seriously, or worked out for the gym body that a better female action star would have done

These two videos are of IT Park, Dehradun, one from 2020 and one from this year. In both, it looks as if a river stream is flowing right through it. Isn’t it? Because it is a river stream. Until 2003, it was a seasonal stream that eased the pressure on the main river when the flow was too great. A few years of weak monsoons, the stream ran dry, and humans decided to build infra over its bed. They forgot what it once was, but the river never forgot. Now, almost every year, she returns, reclaiming her land, cutting through concrete, and reminding everyone that her path is not ours to take.

Ayo Dosunmu on processing the trade away from Chicago as a native Chicagoan (everyone should journal) “Me being from Chicago I wanted to make sure I embraced all of my feelings, I didn’t want to bottle up anything. I think when you do that it’s not the right way to go about things so right away I was in a room, I had my journal down and I was just writing how I was feeling and embracing it. Then as hours go on, I was able to understand it and be like this is a great opportunity”
