Revisiting a save file I haven't touched in almost two decades. Back when it felt like time was infinite. I know I still have things left to do here, but for now, I'll just enjoy the it and relive the memories. 😁👌

I never have the heart to save over my old save files. I think I remember restarting this game at some point in 2011 because I loved it so much. Makes me wonder what I was doing on that day. It’s like looking at a time capsule.

I'm the same, although at some point I had to do it due to lack of memory space for other games. I love seeing save files like yours. I wish all save files showed when they were created. It really is a time capsule, a chance to look back at a different chapter of our lives and the countless hours we poured into these games. 😊

Love this game. The party menu colors 🔥. Ahead of its time 😎🎮

Same ❤️🤜🤛 Yup, truly is bro! What's your most favorite track from the game?

Tough honestly there's like 10 or so tracks from this game I could say are my fav. Always loved (Otherworld) followed by prelude (best in series imo). So many though: Phantoms, Besaid, Thunder Plains, Run, Auron's theme, Zanarkand, A fleeting dream, Calm before the Storm, etc.

Such a badass theme 🔥🎸 It's packed with amazing tracks. 👌💯

Sin: Cheers

🤣🤣🤣 So YouTube videos play directly here now instead of redirecting me to their website?

Lmao the internet is changing. My friend sent me a message on PSN and it linked our chat to YouTube 😅. Crazy times

That’s a fun idea. I have a lot of old save files too, but I just keep them around for New Game+/replay reasons. Can’t say I’ve ever thought of using them to jump back in time like that.

Indeed! My brain works in a weird way. I can't even remember when it started, but whenever I revisit old games or load up old save files, my brain immediately starts trying to remember everything surrounding that time. It’s not just the game itself. I start thinking about where I played it (at home or from a rental shop), what year it was, what time of day, what my room looked like, what snacks I was eating, what I looked like back then, and all kinds of random details. It's like those memories start playing in my head at the same time as the game itself. Maybe that's because, every now and then, I get that feeling of wanting to go back in time 😁

That’s cool. I can see how doing this would bring back so many life memories. My brain also works in mysterious ways at times, so I love hearing stories/different perspectives like this from others.

Same, bro 😁🤜🤛 Gamers brain are built different . 👌

Welcome back to Spira💪🏽

Let's go! 😁💪

I have an old save file for Legend of Legaia, about 15 yrs old I need to get to again. No telling how many others.

My LOL save file is probably same age as yours. Do it! 😁 Did you play Legaia 2 as well?

Oh no, never have. Still need to load Legaia 1 to beat it😅

Old save data can be like a treasure trove. This was nice to see! 😁

I couldn't agree with you more! I'm really glad you liked it. 😁

Damn you definitely grinded. My current play through on PS5 have 200+ hours myself lol.

You are amazing, sir 🫡🔥 I'm not sure I'll be able to put in more hours than I already have, but who knows - maybe one day when the backlog isn't staring me down. 😆

Relatable man I feel that so much. I got a new job recently where I work 3 12’s every week instead of 5 8’s so I’m finally having more time to game again now.

Sweet! That makes a huge difference. I used to work a similar shift, and whenever there wasn't much going on, I could just chill and play my Switch. 😆

That’s what I’ve been doing a lot lately I’m on a big Nintendo kick on my switch 2 I just beat legends tangibly the other day and I’ve never beaten arceus starting that today again lol. Also tons of retro on my Thor esp since I got the grip today!

Awesome! A pokemon fan, i see 😁👌 You're talking about Ayn Thor? That slick looking handheld?

I meant I’ve been using my switch 2 a more again lately and I just finally beat za on it finally. but I do play all the Pokémon’s before the switch ones on my Thor yes. I also did add legends Za and arceus on it too though in case I wanna play them on it though lol.

Ahh, gotcha! My bad, lol. To be honest, I've never played a Pokémon game before. Not that I don't like it, I just never got around to trying one. 😁 If you were introducing the series to a newcomer, which game would you recommend?

Wait who are those last three eons

Magus Sisters 😁

I do wish I could still do this with a few games

What happened to your save files?

had a house fire so i lost all the original memory cards, i could re-create something like a fully 100% chrono cross save but it's not the same

Sorry to hear that. 🙏😢 I agree, it probably won't feel the same. That said, I hope you're still able to find joy in playing these games and the memories that come with them. ❤️

Funny enough, last time I revisited my OG PS2 save, it was here at the arena as well.

Ahahah. I guess we were grinding last time. 🤜🤛

Love doing this. Have fun ☺️

It was so much fun. Thanks! 😊🙏

Hell yeah!

🤘🔥 What are you currently playing, my friend?

Right noooow I'm acualtl trying to decide on both a day and night game. So for my day game I'm probably gonna be doing Kingdom come deliverance or monster hunter stories 1/2 And my night game maybe Earthbound or finish up fire emblem for GameCube. What about you?

Ooh nice! I think I saw Monster Hunter Stories on sale on the eShop a few weeks ago. I was tempted, but couldn't decide whether to grab it. 😆 I'm currently playing Ys X: Proud Nordics while revisiting a few older games.

Omg how is Nordica? Ys X is the only one I haven't played! And monster hunter stories is really fun so far! The first one is for 3ds so I'm expecting big improvements with 2! And yeah I always have revisiting older games in my schedule too 🤣 especially on Nintendo

Frkin amazing! I hope you get to play it eventually. Interesting, might consider it once it goes on sale again 😉 Right?! Can't beat that nostalgic feeling 😌

Now I have to go and 100% FFX for the 19th time. Thanks a lot.

Go go go! Have fun! 🫡😁
