"Why don't we have a revolution?" This guy wrote a whole series of books about why. Basically the answer is that revolutions don't just happen, you have to organize and make them. What you're proposing is just wishful thinking, and that doesn't make revolutions.

This chick’s an idiot. She’s basically advocating that we live in a Disney movie and life will randomly throw in a Deus Ex Machina because we are all so good and interconnected. Go tell that to the Mayans, Aztecs, Byzantines, and countless other people who lost their empires.

The premise is at least half-right But you seem to be taking your Western cultural heritage for granted, and presuming that 'people' are just 'people' (ie. "Humanity") And that people want the same basic things, because people are the same basic things Intuitive as that sounds, it is actually a lazy mistake and grave miscalculation that virtually everyone makes, at least temporarily We're not merely a consequence of cell-division Time, place, and the path that brought us here, matter a whole lot. Creating differences that are generational and can be immediately irreconcilable Unfortunately, I don't think there is any way to truly appreciate that, without living in a completely foreign culture, for at least enough time to witness just how 'different', different can be, between highly foreign culture groups Slavery, for instance We [Europeans/East Asians] would insist slavery is a moral wrong but people still exist, who would find that assertion offensive and arrogant A sign of privileged ignorance... and they would be as absolutely sincere in their beliefs, as we are in ours, with no way to objectively determine who is 'correct' or 'incorrect' But not only slavery. The concept is applicable across the globe (Epstein vs. SE Asian Bacha Bazi, for instance) No 'scientific model of morality' will ever exist, it's a lazy mistake to assume otherwise, and some traditions are better than others, from our shared/general perspective -You're right about the West* being complacent -You're egregiously wrong in the presumption that "humanity" is complacent and it is extremely concerning that some cultural groups, known to be especially hostile toward our values, are having a field day with our complacency and generosity. Weaponizing our own values to wield as weapons against us

No need for Revolutions, we just need to build a parallel society then abandon the old

indeed ...reformations are slow, bottom-up, and not appealing to or tolerated by the impatient masses. revolutions are faster, more prone to bouncing between extremes, and easy to co-opt and manipulate by the evil social engineers who are masters at this

"No no, don't even think about revolution! We just need all individuals to be virtuous and graceful! By the will of some external force! We must end all victims- I MEAN all victimhood. For society.. honey.. isn't Nietzsche cool?" These are fascist talking points.

Stop reading Nietzsche and Hunger Games. Start reading Hegel, Marx, Engels and Lenin. Time to grow up.

Your options of 1 and 2 aren't the reality of the situation. The latter part of the video is correct. Utopia isn't just a dream.. it's the goal.

Instead of a revolution (which means to revolt/reenergize) lets have a evolution of consciousness.

You’re just making excuses for those who create fucked-up things in the world—politicians, billionaires, and the like—by taking away their responsibility for their actions and decisions and pointing the finger at the rest of us, as if ordinary individuals had ever been consulted.

The most bloodless and epoch-defining revolution of the 2nd millennium, which also saved the world from International Communism, was Adolf Hitler’s National Socialist Revolution. Voted peacefully into power, completely against the will of the international interests which reign today, he pulled his country from the brink of destruction. That is also why they had to destroy him and grind his country to dust.

I have been saying it for years. A revolution is literally A FULL CIRCLE. If humans can not fix a problem. Shaking the etch-a-sketch or wiping the chalk board. Does not erase what was not accomplished. It is a reset. As obvious as this may seem to be a lack of ability on our part. I think it suggests a cover up for a system that has been doing this on its for years. The entire narrative of all recorded history is failed regimes. To me it is far more likely that a corrupted foundation for historical data and an integrated system of failure is what causes such a long history of failure. Technically it is nothing but failure since time began. A rotating cycle. It does bring a far more obvious question of why? And that is where the concept of infiltration by design or designed obsolescence comes into play. I do not think we are alone on this planet and the repeating results of our past say we never have been. I know without a doubt that an uplift of the human being in all ways is not only possible but probable. Given the opportunity to do so without manipulation by outside influence. I think all of history is just a story to keep the human condition from awakening to what has always been there. The trail of evidence is readily available in our modern world. The true problem is choice. Most people will not question what they think they know to find something deeper. It has nothing to do with being right but it has everything to do with being true. The universe and all its gifts have never left us. Few find what is inside to be of value because they value very little around them. They let value be dictated to them. What is priceless can not be sold or bought. It must be discovered.
