No. - Does Europe have the genuine will and political capital to do it? Unclear. But in principle, the potential is there. It just needs to be seized on. And the more Trump continues to criticise, insult, and threaten, the more it will only backfire as it ensures Europe completely decouples from the US and in the process destroying America's biggest asset: its alliance network.
