“These practices must end now.” Aliya Rahman, a Minneapolis woman who says she was violently dragged from her car by federal immigration agents while driving to a doctor’s appointment, spoke out at a congressional forum on DHS enforcement tactics. Rahman — who said she yelled “I’m disabled” as agents pulled her from her vehicle — joined other U.S. citizens testifying about shootings, assaults, and harassment by ICE and other DHS agents.

While his death was reported at the time, ICE’s involvement in the shooting was not disclosed until this week, over 11 months after the shooting.
