When I hear the reply that the IDF hopes it can never happen again, it’s not that they didn’t intentionally kill these aid workers ( I think they did ) it’s that they don’t want any aid workers helping to feed the starving Palestinians.

Samuel L. Jackson explains how he landed the role of Jules in Pulp Fiction, and what it was like seeing the film for the first time on the big screen: “Pulp Fiction and I came together in a very strange kind of way. I remember auditioning for Quentin for Reservoir Dogs in New York (for the role of of Detective Jim Holdaway, Mr. Orange’s police contact). And apparently I didn't get that role. But I was at Sundance the year that he screened it for the first time. I was sitting there and I watched that movie - I was awed by it. I mean, there were people running up the aisles when Michael Madsen was cutting the cop's ear off. People were going, "Oh my God, this is horrible!" All these “auteurs” were running out of the theatre. I was like, "This is good. This is happening. This is different." So after the film, I walked up to Quentin and said, "This film's amazing, man. It's great." And he looked at me and said, "Hey! How'd you like the guy who got your part?" And I was amazed that he even remembered who I was - but he remembered me. A year or so later, I got a phone call saying Quentin Tarantino wants to have dinner with you, because he'd seen Jungle Fever and he liked that Gator character. This is from today's #WCWS game. This was ruled a base hit when it happened (you can see the 'H' pop up), but was changed to a missed catch error by the first baseman at the bottom of the fourth. This is an impossible catch for the first baseman with a ball thrown from that angle, that hard. This throw has to be to the glove, and while it's not a wild throw, it's low enough that the first baseman cannot get her glove around it in time. This is where replay gets you in trouble. The slo-mo replay makes it look like it's a catchable ball, but it isn't. In real time, at live speed, this isn't an error. This isn't a missed catch or a drop. I was loving the call of a single, especially because it was the first hit, and then, when it was changed, it felt like it was to protect a no-hitter. Everything about this screams "above ordinary effort" ... I would have left this as a single.

Let’s talk logically about the Iranian School that was hit by a missile resulting in the death of 100+ children What troubles me the most is that to my surprise, it was hit by not one, but two missiles 40 minutes apart. At that point, the mathematical probability of being an accident is almost zero. As soon as I heard that, I was reminded of when something very similar occurred last year. There was a “double-tap” airstrike on a Gaza Hospital that killed dozens of people, including journalists, medics, and rescue workers. Double-tap meaning a missile hit the hospital, then as rescuers were on the scene, another missile hit. Immediately everyone said it wasn’t Israel.. it was Hezbollah.. then, to everyone’s surprise, Netanyahu had to admit to it because it was captured on live television — and he finally admitted to it, Calling It a ‘Mishap.’ Now regarding this situation with the school, according to reports, they are saying it was a Tomahawk missile. It was hit twice 40 mins apart. None of us can confirm whether or not if the missile was indeed a Tomahawk missile— we just don’t know. We only know the reports. Trump and Hegseth hasn’t said it wasn’t, and also said it’s under investigation. If that was in fact a Tomahawk missile, there’s only a handful of US allied countries that have it — The US, UK, Australia, and to my understanding Japan (who doesn’t even have them yet, but on order). If the U.S. did this, I’m sorry, but it’s wrong. I know it’s war.. but these were planned and coordinated targeted strikes. From Dan Lorenc on the malware attack that almost took down the entire internet last year: “There’s a popular compression library that’s used in almost every piece of software. And it had been maintained by one person in his spare time for the last 20 years. And then a couple years ago, somebody just decided to start helping him. They jumped in, fixed a bunch of bugs, and did a lot of great work. And then that first person got tired of working on it. So he handed the whole project over to this other person. It turned out that other person was just a pseudonym and was not a real person. And within six months of getting control of the project, they had put in a carefully orchestrated set of malware that was really hard to detect and no one noticed. And because it was so widely used, the exploit would've basically given that person remote access to any computer running that piece of software, which was basically everything connected to the Internet. But because it was open source and the code was transparent, some random engineer just happened to be running some benchmarks on a weekend. And he noticed that program was a little bit slower than it used to be, and that it was making a weird cryptographic operation to check something. And it had been maintained by one person in his spare time for the last 20 years. And then a couple years ago, somebody just decided to start helping him. They jumped in, fixed a bunch of bugs, and did a lot of great work. And then that first person got tired of working on it. So he handed the whole project over to this other person. It turned out that other person was just a pseudonym and was not a real person. And within six months of getting control of the project, they had put in a carefully orchestrated set of malware that was really hard to detect and no one noticed. And because it was so widely used, the exploit would've basically given that person remote access to any computer running that piece of software, which was basically everything connected to the Internet. But because it was open source and the code was transparent, some random engineer just happened to be running some benchmarks on a weekend. And he noticed that program was a little bit slower than it used to be, and that it was making a weird cryptographic operation to check something.
