RIP, Tim McCarver.

I learned today that Tim McCarver also put out an album.

I consider myself a knowledgeable baseball fan... I am that way because I grew up listening to Tim McCarver.

I remember watching this game and that moment vividly

Was always curious what @keithhernandez said to Rusty when they got back to the dugout

McCarver was great announcing the Mets with Kiner, but the Joe Buck stench rubbed off on him when he went to FOX Buck brings everybody down

Rusty’s last major league Home Run. I was at this game. It was nostalgia give away night where you had a choice of a Brooklyn Dodger hat or New York Giants hat.

Unfortunately for all the great work he did my lasting impression I have of McCarver is his spat with Deion Sanders. Anyone else remember that nonsense? RIP

Power of silence from the box @rhettrospective

I remember watching this live.

Staub's final Major League Home Run.

Great to see Rusty at work. Loved Tim's early years, will not speak of his later years today.

That was Rusty’s last home run…

@MetQuartet1 Great moment. The Great Staub. Great call!

there are so many great things going on in this video. but my favorite is the amount of space by which rusty is choking up.

Look how high he choked up

I still don't know how that man got his bat around that quick. @LennyDykstra was it loud bro?

Going to Rusty’s restaurant when I was younger was a great memory

If I wasn't in the Upper Reserved, I was watching or listening to the guys in the booth. I watched this one at home, but felt the emotion of the crowd, of the moment, from miles away. Thanks, Tim, for making us feel like we were there 💔

@LennyDykstra Omg I feel like I remember seeing this.

Anyone know the date of this game?

June 22, 1985

😢

Great clip

He had that pitchers number

RIP, Tim.

that voice

Le Grand Orange !!

Why isn’t Rusty in the HOF

I loved that crazy place.

Great video! RIP

😢

Never saw this before. Nice. Thanks.
