In India, the world’s largest democracy, senior Hindu leaders from Narendra Modi’s ruling #Hindu nationalist party are openly calling for the social and economic boycott of minority Muslims. Please take a look at the accompanying video to find out how much the Hindu #BJP leaders hate #Muslims in #India, how they incite attacks against them, and how they target to marginalise them in the Hindu majority nation. Saumitra Khan, a prominent BJP leader in West Bengal and a sitting MP, is advising Hindus not to rent out apartments to Muslims or sell them lands or houses. Another BJP leader, former MP Arjun Singh, is asking Hindus to socially and economically boycott Muslims. He is advising Hindus to adopt the means to push minority Muslims to the bottom of society. He tells Hindus not to buy anything from Muslim-owned shops, not to use vehicles run by Muslims, and not to give Muslims any work or engage in any business transaction with them. Over the past years, many international organisations have repeatedly reported that Hindu nationalist groups in India have routinely persecuted minority Muslims and Christians and that the perpetrators have largely gone unpunished. Since Narendra Modi’s party came to power in 2014, the persecution of the religious minorities has increased steadily. We all know that the Hindutva groups who attack and persecute minorities are patronised by the BJP and act as the party’s foot soldiers on many fronts. A large section of Hindus derives a sadistic pleasure from witnessing the persecution and suffering of minorities. They believe that only the BJP can “treat" Muslims and Christians “the way it is needed". Indian law prescribes punishment or imprisonment for delivering hate speech. However, after issuing hate speeches —particularly against minorities— Hindu leaders usually escape accountability. A few Hindutva leaders have faced brief jail terms for openly calling for the extermination of minorities or urging Hindus to carry out violent attacks against them. However, after being released, they usually resume issuing the same sort of hate speeches against Muslims as before. In India, they are considered bigger Hindu leaders who are more aggressive in their speeches against Muslims. In the BJP, these leaders win handsome rewards like election tickets or are given other plum party positions. The BJP-led Indian government and the Indian mainstream media often claim that minority Hindus in #Bangladesh are being persecuted. But can anyone present a single instance where a senior Muslim political or religious leader in Bangladesh has issued openly aggressive calls against minority Hindus, the way the BJP leaders in India often call for the social and economic boycott of minority Muslims? Can anyone show evidence of a senior Muslim leader in Bangladesh asking Muslims not to rent out houses to Bangladeshi Hindus, not to sell them land or a flat to them, or to boycott them socially and economically? No, they will not be able to present such evidence. We can safely assert that Muslim-majority Bangladesh is more secular than Hindu-majority India.

Another BJP leader, former MP Arjun Singh, is asking Hindus to socially and economically boycott Muslims. He is advising Hindus to adopt the means to push minority Muslims to the bottom of society. He tells Hindus not to buy anything from Muslim-owned shops, not to use vehicles run by Muslims, and not to give Muslims any work or engage in any business transaction with them. Over the past years, many international organisations have repeatedly reported that Hindu nationalist groups in India have routinely persecuted minority Muslims and Christians and that the perpetrators have largely gone unpunished. Since Narendra Modi’s party came to power in 2014, the persecution of the religious minorities has increased steadily. We all know that the Hindutva groups who attack and persecute minorities are patronised by the BJP and act as the party’s foot soldiers on many fronts. A large section of Hindus derives a sadistic pleasure from witnessing the persecution and suffering of minorities. They believe that only the BJP can “treat" Muslims and Christians “the way it is needed". Indian law prescribes punishment or imprisonment for delivering hate speech. However, after issuing hate speeches —particularly against minorities— Hindu leaders usually escape accountability. A few Hindutva leaders have faced brief jail terms for openly calling for the extermination of minorities or urging Hindus to carry out violent attacks against them. However, after being released, they usually resume issuing the same sort of hate speeches against Muslims as before. In India, they are considered bigger Hindu leaders who are more aggressive in their speeches against Muslims. In the BJP, these leaders win handsome rewards like election tickets or are given other plum party positions. The BJP-led Indian government and the Indian mainstream media often claim that minority Hindus in #Bangladesh are being persecuted. But can anyone present a single instance where a senior Muslim political or religious leader in Bangladesh has issued openly aggressive calls against minority Hindus, the way the BJP leaders in India often call for the social and economic boycott of minority Muslims? Can anyone show evidence of a senior Muslim leader in Bangladesh asking Muslims not to rent out houses to Bangladeshi Hindus, not to sell them land or a flat to them, or to boycott them socially and economically? No, they will not be able to present such evidence. We can safely assert that Muslim-majority Bangladesh is more secular than Hindu-majority India.

Prathap Simha's vile “cut” remark about Chief Minister Siddaramaiah ji in Bagalkot has exposed the BJP's despicable politics once again. It is increasingly evident that Prathap Simha’s outburst is driven by desperation. BJP is deliberately using Prathap Simha for insulting the tallest leader of the backward community, Shri Siddaramaiah, purely with a view to convey a message to the backward classes, Scheduled Castes and Minorities, that BJP treats them as inferior and subjugated as per their Manuvadi approach. Such conduct only exposes a complete bankruptcy of ideas, ethics, and leadership within the BJP. CM Siddaramaiah and DCM DK Shivakumar have received death threats in the past - from the same divisive forces, including one from BJP leaders who warned that their bodies would be stuffed into a refrigerator. This is not one man's madness - it is the BJP’s political culture. This is the same Prathap Simha, who in the past called the elected Karnataka government a "Taliban government" - not once, but repeatedly at the instruction of the BJP Central Leadership. BJP leaders are habitual offenders in spreading poisonous discourse. Ex MP Ananth Kumar Hegde openly insulted Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao's wife - while serving as a Union Minister. In Bagalkot assembly, BJP and its candidate, Sh Veeranna Charantimath have now appointed Yatnal as their “star attraction”. WAQF (AMENDMENT) BILL, 2024 My Enthusiasm: The British enacted the Mussalman Wakf Act, 1923 for the better management of wakf property and for ensuring the keeping and publication of proper accounts in respect of such properties. After independence, the Waqf Act, 1954 was enacted but the earlier Act was not repealed. In 1995 a new Waqf Act was enacted repealing the 1954 Act. There was not any significant difference between the Acts of 1954 and 1995, as the latter was essentially a consolidation of several State amendments and judicial pronouncements. In March 2005 the UPA Government headed by Manmohan Singh appointed a seven-member high-level committee which was headed by Rajinder Sachar, a former Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, with Sayyid Hamid, M.A. Basith, Akhtar Majeed, Abu Saleh Shariff, T.K. Oommen and Rakesh Basant as its members. It is popularly known as the Sachar Committee. Based on one of the recommendations of the Sachar Committee, the UPA Government introduced the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2013 to amend the Waqf Act, 1995. It must be noted that the BJP enthusiastically supported the Bill and voted for it in Parliament. Consequent to the amendment, the Waqf Act became one most of draconian laws that India has ever enacted whereby any property can be unilaterally claimed by Muslims as waqf, and its owners can be disposed of it. It has been widely reported that the Muslims have been claiming villages after villages as wakf properties and thereby creating havoc. Therefore, the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 introduced in Parliament by the RSS-BJP-Modi Government is a welcome step, and I wholeheartedly endorse it. The Bill has since been referred to a Joint Parliamentary Committee headed by former CM of UP Jagadambika Pal. I sincerely hope and wish that it becomes an Act sooner than later. My Skepticism: A large number of Hindu refugees from Pakistan and Bangladesh who escaped to ‘Hindu India’ and their progeny, are not only HINOs (Hindus In name Only) but they are virulently Anti-Hindu and Pro-Muslim. They are worse than the Islamic Jihadis as they camouflage as Hindus while working for Islam. Rajinder Sachar’s family too came from West Pakistan to ‘Hindu India’ to escape religious persecution by Muslims. Yet, his ideological proclivities were mostly Anti-Hindu and Pro-Muslim. Therefore, it would be apt to categorise him as a Crypto-Muslim. Sachar Committee submitted its Pro-Muslim, nay Anti-Hindu, Report in November, 2016. Its reading would reveal that the demands of the Muslim League prior to independence that led to partition of India, would pale before the recommendations of Sachar Committee. It is not an exaggeration to say that the Sachar Committee has planted seeds for the 2nd partition of India, nay fast-tracking of Islamisation of India. Out of 76 recommendations of Sachar Committee, the Government accepted 72, rejected 3 and deferred 1. Most State Governments, including all the RSS-BJP State Governments as well as the Gujarat State Government headed by Narendra Modi as CM, have vigorously implemented and been implementing the Sachar Committee recommendations since 2017 onwards. Yet, the RSS-BJP never missed an opportunity to publicly criticise the Sachar Committee Report to fool gullible Hindus. After 6 years of vigorous implementation of the recommendations of Sachar Committee and favouring Muslims as their daamads (sons-in-law) in every which way by (mis)using secular public funds, and just before General Elections to Lok Sabha which were due in 2014, in August 2013 the Narendra Modi headed Gujarat State Government challenged its constitutional validity in Supreme Court again to fool gullible Hindus. The RSS-BJP-Modi Central Government has been implementing the Sachar Committee Report with the fervour of a new convert to Islam. Consequently, #Minority_Appeasement in the past 10 years of RSS-BJP-Modi rule has reached Himalayan heights putting all other parties to shame. Further, in the past 10 years, with the zeal of a Jihadi the RSS-BJP-Modi Central Government has been vigorously enforcing the draconian provisions of the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2013 which were incorporated into the Waqf Act, 1995 with the proactive support of BJP in Parliament👇. As a result, the number of immovable properties held/claimed by the Waqf Boards skyrocketed to humongous 8.7 lakhs. A Google search says that Waqf Boards are the 3rd largest land holders in India after the Government and the Christian Church. The credit for this notoriety goes entirely to the #PseudoHindutva RSS-BJP-Modi. With a lot of pomposity the RSS-BJP-Modi Central Government introduced the Prohibition of Child Marriage (Amendment) Bill, 2021 in Parliament on 20-12-2021. I welcomed it except for the proposal to increase age of marriage. It was referred to a Select Committee headed by Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, and it is not known whether it gave any report. However, due to Muslim pressure the RSS-BJP-Modi deliberately delayed its passing as a result the Bill lapsed due to the dissolution of 17th Lok Sabha. Thus they gave a quiet burial to an important Bill that sought to reform marriage of all religious communities which would have a bearing on the differential growth rates of population. Given the unsavoury background and the Pro-Muslim and Anti-Hindu penchants of the RSS-BJP-Modi, I do not see much hope of the Wakf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 becoming a law. Most State Governments, including all the RSS-BJP State Governments as well as the Gujarat State Government headed by Narendra Modi as CM, have vigorously implemented and been implementing the Sachar Committee recommendations since 2017 onwards. After 6 years of vigorous implementation of the recommendations of Sachar Committee and favouring Muslims as their daamads (sons-in-law) in every which way by (mis)using secular public funds, and just before General Elections to Lok Sabha which were due in 2014, in August 2013 the Narendra Modi headed Gujarat State Government challenged its constitutional validity in Supreme Court again to fool gullible Hindus. The RSS-BJP-Modi Central Government has been implementing the Sachar Committee Report with the fervour of a new convert to Islam. Consequently, #Minority_Appeasement in the past 10 years of RSS-BJP-Modi rule has reached Himalayan heights putting all other parties to shame. Further, in the past 10 years, with the zeal of a Jihadi the RSS-BJP-Modi Central Government has been vigorously enforcing the draconian provisions of the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2013 which were incorporated into the Waqf Act, 1995 with the proactive support of BJP in Parliament👇. As a result, the number of immovable properties held/claimed by the Waqf Boards skyrocketed to humongous 8.7 lakhs. A Google search says that Waqf Boards are the 3rd largest land holders in India after the Government and the Christian Church. The credit for this notoriety goes entirely to the #PseudoHindutva RSS-BJP-Modi. With a lot of pomposity the RSS-BJP-Modi Central Government introduced the Prohibition of Child Marriage (Amendment) Bill, 2021 in Parliament on 20-12-2021. I welcomed it except for the proposal to increase age of marriage. It was referred to a Select Committee headed by Vinay Sahasrabuddhe, and it is not known whether it gave any report. However, due to Muslim pressure the RSS-BJP-Modi deliberately delayed its passing as a result the Bill lapsed due to the dissolution of 17th Lok Sabha. Thus they gave a quiet burial to an important Bill that sought to reform marriage of all religious communities which would have a bearing on the differential growth rates of population. Given the unsavoury background and the Pro-Muslim and Anti-Hindu penchants of the RSS-BJP-Modi, I do not see much hope of the Wakf (Amendment) Bill, 2024 becoming a law. Tulsi Gabbard, who will be the Director of National Intelligence under Trump, introduced a resolution in the US Congress in 2021 for the protection of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh; she strongly criticized the Pakistan Army for the atrocities committed against Hindu minorities in 1971. Her statement is as follows: As a member of Congress, I introduced a resolution that called for the protection of Hindus and religious minorities in Bangladesh—people who continue to be targeted and persecuted to this day. Now, the height of this persecution actually began 50 years ago when the Pakistani army systematically murdered, raped, and drove from their homes millions of Bengali Hindus because of their religion and ethnicity. March 25th, 1971, was the beginning of a systematic targeting of Hindus in Bangladesh by the Pakistani military. It began in Hindu neighborhoods and villages, first at Jaganath Hall, which was a Hindu dormitory in Dhaka University, where 5,000 to 10,000 people were killed. On that first night alone, this genocidal campaign continued for 10 months, resulting in 2 to 3 million people killed, hundreds of thousands of women and girls raped, and more than 10 million forced to flee their homes. US Senator Ted Kennedy went to visit the Bangladeshi refugees at that time and said, quote, "Nothing is more clear or more easily documented than the systematic campaign of terror and its genocidal consequences launched by the Pakistan army on the night of March 25th. Hardest hit have been members of the Hindu community who have been robbed of their lands and shops, systematically slaughtered, and in some places, painted with yellow patches marked with an H." End of quote. The Islamist persecution of Hindus and other religious minorities in Bangladesh didn't end with Bangladesh's independence. That campaign continues to this day with horrific targeted attacks, murders, homes being burned down, and families who continue to be forced to flee. In the early 1900s, Hindus made up roughly 33% of Bangladesh's population. Because of this persistent Islamist campaign targeting Hindus, just 8% of Bangladesh's population are Hindus today. Just a few days ago in Bangladesh, hundreds of hardline Islamist extremists attacked Hindu temples, destroyed a train, set fire to government buildings at the press club and public buses, leaving dead and injured behind. Unfortunately, the Islamists' campaign of terror against Hindus, other religious minorities, secularists, atheists, and others in Bangladesh is not unique. It's been going on for centuries, prior to US regime change wars in Iraq, Libya, and Syria, which either toppled or weakened secular authoritarian leaders who protected religious minorities from Islamist jihadists. There were 1.5 million Christians in Iraq and 2.2 million in Syria. Now there are an estimated 200,000 to 300,000 Christians in Iraq and 450,000 in Syria. Afghanistan was a very multireligious country, which included Hindus, Buddhists, and Zoroastrians, prior to the Islamist takeover. Today, it is estimated there are around 1,000 Hindus who remain. Religious minorities make up less than 1% of Afghanistan's population. Until the leaders of the United States and the world condemn and commit to defeating the Islamist exclusivist ideology—an ideology which holds that all non-Muslims and many so-called "heretical" Muslims need to be wiped from the face of the earth, enslaved, or at the very least kept as second-class citizens without the right to own land, worship openly, etc.—like in Pakistan, the jihadist campaign of terror will continue throughout the world. Tulsi Gabbard, who will be the Director of National Intelligence under Trump, introduced a resolution in the US Congress in 2021 for the protection of Hindu minorities in Bangladesh; she strongly criticized the Pakistan Army for the atrocities committed against Hindu minorities in 1971. Her statement is as follows: As a member of Congress, I introduced a resolution that called for the protection of Hindus and religious minorities in Bangladesh—people who continue to be targeted and persecuted to this day. Now, the height of this persecution actually began 50 years ago when the Pakistani army systematically murdered, raped, and drove from their homes millions of Bengali Hindus because of their religion and ethnicity. March 25th, 1971, was the beginning of a systematic targeting of Hindus in Bangladesh by the Pakistani military. It began in Hindu neighborhoods and villages, first at Jaganath Hall, which was a Hindu dormitory in Dhaka University, where 5,000 to 10,000 people were killed. On that first night alone, this genocidal campaign continued for 10 months, resulting in 2 to 3 million people killed, hundreds of thousands of women and girls raped, and more than 10 million forced to flee their homes. US Senator Ted Kennedy went to visit the Bangladeshi refugees at that time and said, quote, "Nothing is more clear or more easily documented than the systematic campaign of terror and its genocidal consequences launched by the Pakistan army on the night of March 25th. Hardest hit have been members of the Hindu community who have been robbed of their lands and shops, systematically slaughtered, and in some places, painted with yellow patches marked with an H." End of quote. The Islamist persecution of Hindus and other religious minorities in Bangladesh didn't end with Bangladesh's independence. That campaign continues to this day with horrific targeted attacks, murders, homes being burned down, and families who continue to be forced to flee. In the early 1900s, Hindus made up roughly 33% of Bangladesh's population. Because of this persistent Islamist campaign targeting Hindus, just 8% of Bangladesh's population are Hindus today. Just a few days ago in Bangladesh, hundreds of hardline Islamist extremists attacked Hindu temples, destroyed a train, set fire to government buildings at the press club and public buses, leaving dead and injured behind. Unfortunately, the Islamists' campaign of terror against Hindus, other religious minorities, secularists, atheists, and others in Bangladesh is not unique. It's been going on for centuries, prior to US regime change wars in Iraq, Libya, and Syria, which either toppled or weakened secular authoritarian leaders who protected religious minorities from Islamist jihadists. There were 1.5 million Christians in Iraq and 2.2 million in Syria. Now there are an estimated 200,000 to 300,000 Christians in Iraq and 450,000 in Syria. Afghanistan was a very multireligious country, which included Hindus, Buddhists, and Zoroastrians, prior to the Islamist takeover. Today, it is estimated there are around 1,000 Hindus who remain. Religious minorities make up less than 1% of Afghanistan's population. Until the leaders of the United States and the world condemn and commit to defeating the Islamist exclusivist ideology—an ideology which holds that all non-Muslims and many so-called "heretical" Muslims need to be wiped from the face of the earth, enslaved, or at the very least kept as second-class citizens without the right to own land, worship openly, etc.—like in Pakistan, the jihadist campaign of terror will continue throughout the world.
